Clean room, helpful and friendly staff, pool was great but changing rooms were a bit old and in need of a refresh (as is the whole hotel, such as the carpets and corridors being musty with peeling paint); rooms and restaurant and bar areas were all very clean and well-maintained. The property as a whole just needs some attention and upgrading.

Good hotel close to the airport

We enjoyed staying here. The service was great, room was lovely and facilities were good. We used the pool and sauna and had a relaxing stay ahead of our holiday.

We've stayed only for one night but can't fault it at all. We've enjoyed the pool and breakfast. Room was clean, bed comfy. National Trust park right next door but the weather wasn't good enough to go for a walk. Generally a pleasant stay

It looked ok on arrival. Staff were friendly enough. The hall way was dated , got to the room and it looked ok. Carpet was clean, had ironing board and iron. It’s only when I got into bed and started scratching I knew they have bed bugs 🐜 didn’t sleep a wink. Slept on top of the bed with the towels for a duvet. We found a random pill on the floor which one of the kids could have easily got hold of. Cleaning as in dusting wasn’t very good either. Toilet has a low flush so we had trouble flushing the kids delights away! We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that. Not the worst we have stayed in but the bed bugs was something I can’t cope with 😬

Handy for airport and plane spotting

Comfortable and quiet rooms, friendly staff and decent bar area. Handy if flying from Manchester or spotting at Southside. Cheap parking, which is a rarity these days.
