Great house with a very responsive host. Second time staying here with family. This is a very comfortable home with tons of charm. Will definitely stay here again!
This is one of my favorite places to stay. The house is comfortable. And always so clean!
The host is very responsive and accommodating.
We will be back!
The location was perfect! It is on the mountain side with a view of the river and city skyline. It was close to everything we needed including restaurants and stores.
The history of the house is awesome as well, so make sure you check out the guest book. The property has been loved, and it is obvious. We stayed in February, but we can tell the gardens must be dazzling during grow season. The patio lights just made the patio even more relaxing.
The only thing worth noting is that there is no fence around the yard. However, our kids and dog never wonder, so it was fine for us.
I would stay here again!
My family and I needed a place to stay while visiting Williamsport to support our dad as he underwent major surgery and recovery. I found the Mountain House, saw the photos and it looked like just what we needed. And the house didn't disappoint! It feels like a home, which was exactly what we hoped for and needed - a place to relax in between hospital visits, and place to rest comfortably and make dinner. The kitchen is the most well-equipped kitchen I've ever had the joy of using during a VRBO stay. The beds were comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet and offered plenty of options to walk my dog. And it was incredibly convenient to everything we needed. Also, Leslie was an AMAZING host! She promptly responded to all my messages and was able to accommodate us when we realized we needed to amend our stay to be near my dad as he stayed in acute rehab. While we were there for practical reasons, I could imagine this house being a great spot for a more leisurely visit to Williamsport. I often enjoyed the view of the night sky out the back and imagined it'd be a great place to spend a warm spring, summer or fall evening taking it all in. thanks, Leslie, for a wonderful stay!
Owner was great with communication. The location was perfect for us for visiting the area and traveling to Happy Acres to visit friends. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet

It is definitely right out of the 1950’s or 1960’s but had everything we needed. Closer to the Little League World Series Stadium than I expected. Only 5 minutes. We would stay there again.
This house was perfect for our families needs. Close to lots of fun things to do. Fully stocked with anything you could possibly need while giving a nostalgic vibe of my grandma’s house! The mushroom canisters in the kitchen were the same ones I remember growing up with! The outside area was beautiful for relaxing and having a fire. We were here for a college visit but enjoyed local breweries and the Little League World Series was a huge highlight.

I was able to walk everywhere. That's really important to me. I felt safe at all hours while walking. I felt safe even walking alone. Walked to LLWS complex, did the river walk and walked to wegmans for a few items i forgot. Awesome.
This is a great house! Lots of room and definitely took me back in time. It really was like home. I will definitely be back if they’ll have me! I loved the patio and the neighborhood cats were a bonus.
Took you back to the old days. Very nice. And the beds are comfortable. The owner had a fire pit outside and that certainly kept us warm when stepping out. Living room was cozy and nice. I do recommend to others.
