Escape to the tranquility of nature in our spacious 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom cabin nestled right on the banks of picturesque Pine Creek. Black Bear Lodge offers a cozy yet expansive haven for up to 10 guests, making it the ideal setting for the whole family. Guests have direct access to Pine Creek. The cabin also has a hot tub with a perfect view of the Creek. Black Bear Lodge is strategically situated- 15 miles to the PA Grand Canyon, 2 miles to downtown Galeton, and 20 miles to Wellsboro.

Just wanted to add here that the INDOOR FIREPLACE is NOT AVAILABLE for guests to use during their stay (This is due to safety concerns AND our insurance company not allowing our guests to use it).

My husband and I and our adult children and grandchildren traveled to Galeton to attend the Wellsboro Dickens of a Christmas for the first time. We booked this cabin for our weekend stay. I can't express how much we enjoyed our stay at this absolutely beautiful cabin. The cabin is so welcomingly cozy, so spotlessly clean and well maintained with all the comforts of home. We ate dinner at the Perma Stone Inn, which is right near the cabin - excellent food, huge portions and friendly staff. We hope to return to this gorgeous area again someday and would definitely love to stay at this cabin once again! :)

Love the easy access to the water, big property and spacious cabin! It was nice that toilet paper, paper towels and some other amenities were included. My only complaint was it’s pretty close to the road so I could here the cars/trucks going by.

The property was clean and the setting was perfect! We sat by the fire ring which was right beside pine creek. We saw an eagle on our first night. Then we hiked and rode our side by side all the way to Colton park. At the end of the day we relaxed in the hot tube. The host responded to all our questions in a timely manner and was very kind. Booked for a "boys fishing trip". They loved the access to fishing ... but access to anything else was tough. As long as you don't plan on needing anything, you can settle in for a secluded stay!

Fantastic Mountain Trip

Our stay was fantastic. The host was great and the property was outstanding. It was clean, well appointed and perfect for our family. We really enjoyed floating in the creek, fishing, and the yard for playing ball. The air conditioning was wonderful after playing in the heat all day. We are definitely planning to return. The cabin was well supplied and clean. Close to town, but nice and quiet. We were able to stargaze from back yard. Dusk to dawn light was a bit bright, but some people like it that way. Owner was very helpful and home was comfortable. Would stay again if in area. Nice buck at the feeder too!

Nice place

The property is great, easy to get to with privacy and a great place to take dogs who like to hang around a creek. The cabin is nice, especially relative to other cabin properties we've stayed at before. One thing to know is to bring bottled water, the tap water smells strongly of sulphur. Besides that they replied quickly when I had some questions so communication was also good.

Stay was excellent!

The property was very nice with a large yard. There were a lot of songbirds and an eagle! House was very clean with everything you need. We explored the area doing a lot of hiking and was a very relaxing place to come back to. The porch is amazing even when it rained. There are 2 benches at the creek but it's easier if you bring camp chairs for the firepit which we didnt have. A wonderful place to stay!!
