"The room was clean, and the staff was helpful, but the property is outdated. And the Griffin building is separate from the hotel so you really don’t get the experience of staying there. And heaven forbid your key not work, which happened to me three times, because it means you have to return to the check-in at the main hotel. While you can walk to the main attraction of Colonial Williamsburg, for the price paid, I would not stay again."

"It was a very cute room. Very historic. There were ants all over however. But the location was the best. If you are looking for a quiet retreat the Market Square Tavern rooms are not for you. The cannon goes off a lot and drum and fife play frequently. But you can walk everywhere from it."

"Great pet friendly place! Plenty of grass area to walk your dogs. My husband and I visit Williamsburg often to go to Busch Gardens with our mini doodle, and we always stay here. Decent breakfast, but very tiny coffee cups. Elevator is super slow, so we normally take the stairs. The staff has always been super friendly, and helpful when needed. Overall, they do a nice job of keeping everything clean. Definitely could use some updates and repairs in certain areas, but we always enjoy our stay."

"Nice place to stay room was beautiful but the floors are noisy and the restaurant wasn’t open like the website said it was so that was a little disappointing. They closed at 3 I guess they were only open for lunch but we didn’t get there till 4 and were planning to have dinner there. Other than that it was a nice stay and the lady at the front desk was very nice. Not a huge fan of the wines either but it was nice to have the tasting for free. "
