"Rooms were clean, just old. They do have roaches, they were seen in our suite and in my parents suite. I didn't like having to take out the trash at the end of my stay either. I don't know why that bothers me so much, but having to put garbage in my car, really made my blood boil!! It wasn't bad but for the money we paid, I wouldn't go back. "

"We stayed in one of the tavern rooms. While small, they are adequately sized for two people. Shower is small because it has to follow slope of the roof to maintain original look. That being said, the room had modern plumbing and electrical and a television. It was really cool to stay in a historical tavern inn and to be on the main street of the colonial buildings inside the historical area. "

"Proprietors were extremely friendly! Breakfast was incredibly good! (Especially those potatoes!) Prime location to visit Colonial Williamsburg! Beautiful home!"

"The room we were initially placed in was filthy and smelled like an ashtray. The only good thing about the hotel was staff was helpful and assigned us a new room. The new room was acceptable only because we were only sleeping there and not spending anytime at the hotel. This hotel seemed like a transient hotel. This hotel was subpar, dirty and has seen better days…twenty years ago!"
