Whitter Village

Loved the staff and the cleanliness, never had issues with the bathroom cleanliness. I have gone to Jamaica over 8 times all inclusive 4-5 stars in the past, I would say this is not a well maintained property from an infrastructure perspective. I don’t think the staff is provided with what they need to provide 5 star experience. Example- I’ve always had a swim up with my family which includes my child who has been between 3-8 yrs old the times we went, in this resort, they don’t allow families with children under 13 to stay at a swim up (leads me to believe they don’t want to pay the liability insurance). At other resorts, there is fresh fruit at the bars and swim ups, such as bananas daiquiri, never been an issue but here none of the bars had fresh fruit provided (again that’s a 5 star resort type of thing), also for the privilege guests, every bar should have top shelve drinks available to serve, but that was only available at the privilege lounge. I am also used to having snacks available at the privilege lounge all day, not here they had specific times for breakfast and lunch and dinner (not unreasonable but comparing to other 5 stars). The wait for dinner was a lot during peak times and reservations were limited so book all when you arrive. we ended up going to the buffet, but can’t complain about buffet, food was delicious! And they had real Jamaican food, the friend fish was awesome! The jerk chicken and pork were amazing! It was okay like 3-4 star.

The most relaxing resort stay I ever had in the Caribbean. No noise. Jungle setting was unique. Rooms (bungalow) was awesome experience. Staff was not in your face all the time and was there only when you wanted or needed them. Swim up bar was just the right size and setting for us. Kudos. I try all kinds of resorts but I may even be back here sooner rather than later.
