Our cabin was beautiful and extremely comfortable. Wi-Fi worked well while we were there. This resort is in a remote location with a beautiful view. This place was a little slice of heaven after lots of driving en route from the lower 48 to Alaska! It is 4 individual, modern and beautifully appointed cabins on a large acreage with a main cabin lodge where the family who owns the property resides, breakfast and dinner are served and one can indulge in a massage. We found it very quiet and relaxing. The beds were divinely comfortable and wonderful robes await you after a hot shower or massage! We sat on the patio and just enjoyed the cool breeze and solitude. My husband and I have been traveling for years and Northern Lights is up there at the top. Toby and Lynn are phenomenal. So pleasant, so friendly, so accommodating!! Our chalet was SPOTLESS!!! Beds were very comfortable!! The have an onset chef that prepared us dinner, bison bolognese, and it was delicious. The meal was amazing. Gourmet!! Breakfast was very good. I can’t say enough good about this place. I first stopped by on our way to Alaska and Toby took the time to show me around. So we stayed on our way out. We arrived just before 9, so there was no where to eat unless we wanted to travel into whitehorse which was further up the highway. The bed was absolutely horrible, it was as hard as a rock. It was like sleeping on a floor. After a long drive a comfortable bed is a crucial piece of furniture that is strongly recommended. Me and my husband tossed and turned all night and was up by 5:00\. We probably would have considered alternate plans due to the distance to the airport. Hotels.com listed airport transportation but that was not an option. A taxi ride was around $65ca. We were okay with this as our flight was an early flight anyhow. The room was nice, however it was warm in June making it difficult to sleep. Breakfast was very European, hard boiled egg, meat, cheese, vegs, yogurt and fruit. All served to you while sitting in the lodge. They recommended the only place close for dinner and mentioned the pizza. Unfortunately, I would not recommend the same. I imagine the lodge operates differently during peak season. For an establishment not near dinner options, it would benefit their guests to have either an option for dinner on-site or a kitchen to bring in food for the stay. Overall, the grounds are beautiful. The room was comfortable. The resort and chalet were exactly as expected. Lynn and Tobias were wonderful hosts and were helpful throughout our stay. I definitely can recommend to book the slightly higher priced newer chalets with the large glass windows for Aurora viewing. Also worth mentioning is the $65/p.p. 3 course dinner at the resort which was delicious. The drink menu is very reasonably priced and Tobias masters the Aperol Spritz drink. If you are looking for comfort with amazing nature views in a small cosy resort setting, this should be your first choice in the Whitehorse area. It was a perfect place to observe northern lights with a well-designed garden.
