The living room has a leather suite around the feature fireplace, with a step up to the raised dining area which enjoys views of the river. You can also hop on a bus or the train to get into Whitby if you prefer. The cottage is conveniently located next to a children’s indoor play area, as well as the miniature steam train and the riverside café which has delightful views as well as delicious food. The railway station, village shop, butchers and village pub are just a short walk away. Further along the coast you have Robin Hood’s Bay, Sandsend, Staithes and Scarborough, all glorious for a day out, and the North York Moors National Park is beautiful and laced with hiking trails. The cottage is perfectly placed to walk into Whitby.
The cottage is perfectly placed to walk into Whitby. The local pub is great and is open good hours. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable. There was a problem with the drains on arrival, but the owner met us there to explain and it was all sorted the following morning.
