We liked the amount of space and having two levels in the unit we had. Having parking included was good, but initial access to the reserved parking area was a negative experience. The directions provided were inadequate.

I was so thankful for the great communication with the staff. Everything was laid out very clearly. A couple of notes if you are going to be staying here: the parking is a bit of a ways away from the building so bringing wheelie suitcases would be best. The partiers on Friday and Saturday night are pretty loud on the street so if that bothers you be warned. I was kind of grossed out by the hot tub. While the water was clean the tub itself really needed a good wipe down. Also there are a LOT of stairs, so if you have people with mobility issues in your group or very young children you should make a plan for that. The beds were comfortable, the unit was very clean, the kitchen was well stocked with supplies. We’d stay here again.

Excellent location & property. Very clean. More like staying in a condo than a hotel. A bit complicated to find the place and figure out parking but once you go through it the 1st time it’s easier. Thank you for a great stay!

The interior is pretty retro looking but well maintained, and very spacious. Having the private hot tub was a really nice addition. Overall, great value.

Beautiful condo with loft.
Beautiful unit, extremely comfortable,fantastic bed. Parking garage about 2 blocks away but free. View of other buildings unless standing up , then you could see the pedestrians walking. Location was great, right in village center.

There was NO HOT water for the 3 day stay we had. Could not take any showers unless it was in cold water. Washroom had hair in tub/on the floor when we arrived. I would NOT recommend to stay here

I liked that we had our own hot tub in the unit. There isn’t an ice machine in the building. You could tell that the fridges were newer, it’s was too bad that they didn’t have an ice feature on them.

It was a great stay! The fireplace was very nice and the location is unbeatable. You're walking distance to everything you could want! Having covered parking provided was a big plus. The beds could be updated and made a bit more comfortable though. Would definitely stay again!

The property was beautiful and was very comfortable. Check in wasn’t until 4 pm and we had arrived in Whistler at 11 am. We contacted the office and they had no issues letting us in right away. Will definitely stay here again.

If I wrote the review on the day I stayed, it will be accusation for all the terrible experience I spent in whiski Jack. I had never stayed any hotel room as awful as that. The first night I couldn’t sleep because I felt so itchy and anxious from the bed and the noise in midnight. I still not sure was the problem from the hot tub or the beds. The whole suite is old and lack of maintenance. The smelling is so stale the carpet is dark and dirty. The mirror on the hallway was peeled off which is scary. There is no staff working for the suite, if something happened there is no people you can ask. It is not a place the tourist should stay. If you booked this nightmare Suite by accident like us, make sure don’t touch the hot tub.We just used the hot tub once and I got whole body terribly chemical smelling and my children’s hair damaged badly. I almost called 911 when I felt so bad during the first night. But when I call the service line in the next morning to cancel the rest of the booking, the lady who answered the phone told me she was the only person work on that day in the whole company. Can you believe that? We spent $900 for the room for 2 night but there was no service at all! Nobody get back to me. Nobody contacted me. I had never stayed any hotel or motel like this, the worst experience!!!There are so many hotels in whistler make sure you avoid this one!

Huge space, great location in walking distance to everything, well stocked kitchen. Only negative was there is no a/c so we needed to keep the windows open at night and the village can be loud when the bars closed. With that said though, Id still book it next time we go to whistler.

The building is old! The elevators weren't working and there was construction material all over the hall way. The room itself was good. The bathrooms were nicely renovated. We had plenty of space for 6 adults. The sofa bed was a little uncomfortable.

First time staying at Village Gate House and it was just perfect. Great location at the Village, walking distance to everything. We loved our 1 bed plus loft with jacuzzi room. So spacious with full kitchen. Definitely going back there.

Managment that wont keep their word.
Chose this place over another for the hot tub. Hot tub was not cleaned and when I asked them they told me it was cleaned then they asked me to send pictures. I sent the pics and then was sent an email saying they would contact me to setup when the cleaners would come never happened. Day of check out was give $30 enough to cover the parking I asked to get more as it was not even 10% off my stay for the experience and never getting a response. Told to call manager the next day, I called 2 days later and was treated as if the tub was cleaned when I got there and I said no I had sent pics already then was told they came during my stay I then said that didn't happen as they never contacted me to inform me someone would come and I know they didn't as I had stuff in front of the door to the tub. They told me that I was give 30& that was it. I asked to go higher someone else got on and did the same song and dance then offered 25% OFF my next stay I told them I was from the east coast and would not be comming back that soon they said I could have the offer no expiry, I asked for a copy in writing they agreed so when I got my confirmation by email I was sadly surprised that they gave me only 12 month to take the offer I went to explain my situation by email and was told I would not be given more I said I didn't want more I just want what was offered.

It was our understanding that the tub was in fact cleaned. We are not able to offer discounts for a time-period longer than a year. I apologize that this information was improperly communicated to you initially from a new staff member. We are not able to offer discounts for a person other than yourself either. From what we understand, the tub was cleaned and we refunded you $30 plus tax. We feel that this combined with the offer for a deep future discount is reasonable to offer you. I'm sorry you did not feel that this was adequate. I hope you were able to enjoy the stay, despite the issue with the hot tub.

Convening location, but better directions to find it are needed. Elevator from parking takes you to a courtyard, but no signage . Maps show buildings, but not context of various paths from courtyard to the location of the doors. End up wandering around the block looking for the door to get in. Once you know where it is, no problem. But better directions needed to find the first time

The location is super as you are right in the hub of the village! Parking instructions were not at all clear, and the location of parking was not convenient for loading stuff in and out of the unit. Unfortunately it was not very clean when we arrived. No air conditioning available, but there were two fans for our unit. We were surprised to find out we were required to take all of our recyclables with us at check out as well.

Each of our properties has a unique parking situation and while the Village Gate House is a great location, it might not be the most ideal for parking but we are still happy to offer affordable 24 hour underground parking in the Village. We do have a couple properties with air conditioning if that is something you would like for a future stay. As for taking the recycling out, we apologize for this oversight as typically guests are not asked to do this. We apologize for the inconvenience.
