"We arrived after check in time and it still took an additional 2 hours to get our room. When we started to unpack our bags we found a half eaten pizza in one of the drawers. The front desk staff didn’t seem too concerned about it and said they would let housekeeping know. When we asked for additional toiletries, the housekeeping staff was very rude. Very disappointing experience. "

"This house was a magical place for my wife and me to stay while we visited our daughter at Cal Poly Humboldt. The ocean view and nightly sunsets were just amazing. The home itself was clean, cozy, and perfect for two people. (When the weather is nice, the deck nearly doubles the property's space.) We didn't have to communicate with the property managers while we were there, but check-in and check-out were a breeze. Two slightly nit-picky suggestions to make future stays even better: a) There were no food storage options for leftover food. We ended up having to buy our own Tupperware. b) The windows were really dirty when we arrived. Normally, I don't notice such things, but when the ocean view is obscured, you notice. If I were renting this place, keeping those windows spotless would be a priority."

"We loved the location and easy access to the beaches, Redwoods, and local towns. The living area and kitchen area were very welcoming and we hung out there quite a bit. Sat in the couch and just looked out the window at the beach many times. The residence was clean but it did smell a little musty when we first arrived but it eventually subsided. Did have some ant issues near the kitchen and must have been ongoing as their were ant traps. We notified the cleaning lady (who showed up promptly at 10:00 AM but was very generous as we were running about 15 minutes behind). The TV was a little ways away from the couch BUT given the few minor things, we would definitely stay again and may look to book in the future. Made us re-think our own living situation as we loved the natural light and could use to downsize based upon our experience here."
