One night in Leeds
Posted 30-Oct-2015 on Hotels
Hotel in good location, next to Royal Armouries museum, and just 15 minute walk from the city centre. Large NCP multi storey carpark immediately next door, £8 for 24 hours reduced from £12 with a coupon provided by the hotel. Fairly slow service on reception at check in. Room decor a bit tired, stains on carpet, but relatively comfortable for a one night stopover. Bathroom towels not very clean. Bar in hotel in evening had run out of draught lager, and only had a choice of cider or Boddingtons on tap. Breakfast was chaotic, virtually nothing left at 9:15am, last few remaining items of "clean" crockery were dirty with food remnants stuck on (health hazard!), and cutlery not much better. No cups/mugs to even get a hot drink, had to retrieve mugs from room to get a coffee. Didn't seem well organized, lots of unhappy people, and would have been actually better if there was no free breakfast offering at all. Disappointing stay.
