Too far from city centre

Posted 25-Feb-2017
Didn't like the walk into Leeds city centre. Also it was noisy at night. Next time would stay at hotel closer to the centre of the city. Breakfast was nice though. Staff very helpful. They came to collect us when we got lost trying to find the hotel. Bar prices are very expensive.

Most uncomfortable, noisy, bathless hotel

Posted 13-Feb-2017
On the drive up I was really looking forward to a bath, there's something about baths. We arrived and made our way to our room... our disabled room. Me and my husband are fully able bodied and In the bathroom, no bath. The cleaning staff were loud and the fellow guests were loud. We both had no sleep on the bed, the pillows were awful, my husband is covered in bites from the bed. Will not be coming back in a hurry

worst Holiday Inn express we have stayed in.

Posted 15-Nov-2016 on Hotels
Rooms are very small. We had the sofa bed made up & this almost took over the room. We could net get to the window to open it coupled with the acu not working, made this a very uncomfortable stay. Breakfast was ok but only one person tending it & stuff running out continuously. also had to ask for basics like jam for toast (the brief period bread was available). All that said the staff we pleasant & helpful, but this was overshadowed by all the other faults here

Decent Hotel and good value

Posted 08-Nov-2016 on Hotels
Stayed at Jury's Inn for our first night as no vacancies at the Holiday Inn. Paid more than twice the price of the Holiday Inn at Jury's and had to pay £20 extra for breakfasts. Holiday Inn Express far better value for money as the rooms were just as clean, if not cleaner. Would definitely use again.

Seemingly ignorant manager

Posted 06-Nov-2016 on Hotels
Alarm went off in opposite room for 20 minutest around midnight I tried to ring to reception to alert them nobody answered I had to get dressed to personally go to reception The young lad was very apologetic apparently it was a disability room alarm His Manager was so off hand I would say ignorant Didn't acknowledge I was there! You don't expect to pay for a nights stay then be woken up and have to get dressed to alert staff of an alarm .I regularly stay in Leeds but would probably give this hotel a miss I did mention my concerns to the morning staff but have heard nothing back

Excellence in customer service

Posted 28-Oct-2016 on Hotels
Lovely hotel and the staff were excellent. The only thing I had an issue with is that the food menu did not cater for children. A lot of children attending the convention were staying in the hotel and, as there isn't much choice of restaurants nearby I think it would've been better if families could have had dinner in the hotel.
