Short break

Friendly staff, slightly out of city centre location though, hoped it would be more central. Freephone service for Amber taxis but unfortunately they didn't arrive for us even after 3 calls. Used South Leeds/hunslet taxi service thereafter with no problems! Drinks a bit expensive, but all in all this wasn't a bad experience by any means. Self service breakfast with plenty of food choices to suit.

Okay stay

I generally enjoyed the comfort of the hotel. It was homely and cosy. However,I felt that the neighbourhood was terrible. I was kept awake until around 2:30am with rowdy and intoxicated people shouting about and car horns being used. The sofa and desk chair were covered in stains and worn away which made the room feel unclean. However it was a decent stay.

Good hotel, a little out of town

Posted 21-Dec-2015 on Hotels
This hotel isn't as close to the city centre as Id thought when i booked it but other than that it's a good hotel. The reception staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful, offering me advice on how to get to where I needed to be and saving my suitcases after Id checked out. The room was just what I needed, not huge but clean and comfortable. There is complimentary wifi which has good signal throughout the hotel. Complimentary breakfast is basic but ok. There is a supermarket quite close by and a couple of restaurants and bars. The hotel is probably a good fifteen / twenty minute walk from the city centre but is in quite a nice location just next to the Royal Armouries and the canals, if you stay here try and make time to have a look around.

Walkable into city centre. Quiet location

Cons: There was make-up foundation on one of the bath towels
Was dealt with very well by Liam who explained why we had a double bed when we had booked for a room with 2 single beds. He explained that this needs to be noted on additional information on the booking form. We were given complimenatary drinks by way of compensation. Excellent breakfast. Good choice

Pleasant stay

Posted 04-Dec-2015 on Hotels
Our stay was reasonably nice, check in was easy apart from being questioned if I had paid the agent for the stay, they had no information I had paid, but was good enough to take my word for it at that point. We got to the room which was cold, put the air con heating on but took a while to heat up, room was pleasant and clean. We slept well as the bed and bedding was very comfortable, wish I would have found out where they purchased the pillows from, love them at home. In the morning went to get a shower at approx 9.10am , I couldn't get it hot or even warm, it was just above cold so a very uncomfortable shower, my friends shower was also cool. We then went for breakfast that was just passable, it's advertised as free breakfast so what do we expect, nothing is ever free it's in with the room rate, the hot items was just scrambled egg which was very dry, baked beans and cheap sausages, all beverages were ok. When checking out we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel for the day. All in all was an ok stay, wouldn't stay here again as a too long walk into the centres shops and bars.

The hotel is located about 10mins to the centre of town. The rooms are clean and tidy but my room the a/c and heating was loud and I had to turn it off at night which ment it was cold in the morning. When I checked in I was told breakfast would be served until 10am, I went down for breakfast at 9:30 and there was very little left. All the cooked food that was sitting there looked like it had been there for hours, I used the toaster and I burnt my toast because there was no control over the speed it went through at. The wifi is slow and unreliable.
