Was a bit disappointed that we had to pay £10 each to have our bags stored until check-in or £20 for early check in. The bed wasn’t very comfortable pretty hard in fact! No coffee making facilities in the room either. Bathroom was clean but the water took forever to warm up. Didn’t have many interactions with staff so can’t comment on that. After check-out I left my luggage in storage and went out before my flight. Shortly after, I realized that I had accidentally left a sealed box of premium cheeses in my room. The items were fully closed and vacuum-sealed. I returned to the front desk and spoke with Saq, who kindly checked with the team and informed me that the housekeeper had already taken the items and could return them in about 40 minutes. Unfortunately, I had to leave for the airport and could not wait. What troubled me most was not the mistake, but the handling of it. I was clearly told that my belongings were with a staff member who had taken them. In a hotel of this level, personal items left in a room should be placed in the lost and found, not taken home by staff. I contacted the hotel about this issue a week ago and, disappointingly, no one has responded. This situation left me feeling extremely uncomfortable and disappointed with the way it was handled." I had reserved a twin room but they gave us a large bed which wasn't what I had wanted. But we made it work. The room was large, clean, and there was plenty of tea bags. This may be more of a complaint about hotel room design but I wish nice hotels would stop trying to get interesting with bathroom doors. The frosted glass door is amusing but the slight gap at the bottom sure makes using the toilet feel less than private. Why??? I would say using the lifts is a bit too high tech. I feel like tech bros got involved and not anyone familiar with customer service. Other than that, a lovely stay near a tube station.
