"Maybe I should have paid closer attention to previous reviews, but we were desperate for a place that could fit all of us for a graduation. The house did suit the space required, but for the price point, the property is indeed rundown and in need of work. Dusty, cobwebs everywhere, holes in walls, beds made, but sheets not necessarily clean. Buggy and complete with dead cockroaches in pool bathroom. Carpet gross and tires almost taken out with potholes in driveway. Practically electrocuted ourselves starting the dishwasher. The highlight of the whole experience was the sewage smell in the master bedroom side of the house. If anyone did a walk through prior to our arrival that alone should have been noticed and dealt with. Pool area was fun and we did survive what felt like a camping experience, but cannot recommend."

"Wonderful location for enjoying the shops and restaurants downtown Chillicothe and a quick drive to hocking hills for a day of hiking. Cabin is perfect spot to come back to and grill out on the covered deck and enjoy the hot tub. 10 out of 10."

"The Toasted Marshmallow was the perfect place to spend part of our Mother’s Day weekend. The cabin was clean, cozy and relaxing. Couldn’t get enough of the welcoming committee. All the animals were so friendly and a joy to be around. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to just about anyone. We absolutely loved our stay!"

"This is a great place! Close enough to the various park entrances, yet set far enough from the road to give you the sensation of being in the back woods. Our host was very attentive and quickly took care of every request. There were 3 in our party (2 parents and 1 adult child) and we had plenty of room. The cabin was rustic and cozy, with comfortable beds and electric baseboard heat for the chilly nights we had during our stay. The gas grill works great, and the cabin has a brand new stove, which really helped with the cooking. We are very happy with our stay and with our host!"

"The house was clean, cozy, and everything worked great, including the hot tub. It is closer to neighboring rentals than expected, but I honestly liked that. The balcony is very high and accessed by a steep ladder, so definitely keep that in mind when booking, especially for taller or bigger husbands, he was not a fan that high up. Biggest win for me: not a bug or spiderweb anywhere around the house! Overall, we had a great stay and thought it was a cute, relaxing place to visit. would book again"

"Everything about the rental was perfect! Great location and how the rentals were spread out on the wooded property. Natural setting is gorgeous and how the cabin and outdoor space was configured, allowed for a relaxing, quiet, and comfortable stay! Kitchen was well equipped and furniture/decor is fitting to the setting. I will recommend this property to everyone I know. 10 out of 10!"
