This newly furnished five bedroom vacation home, situated in a private wooded area just off of Main St in downtown Wellfleet, offers the ideal balance between privacy, convenience, and space. You will be just a short walk from many of the amazing restaurants, galleries, shops, and other attractions that downtown Wellfleet is famous for. Places such as Winslow’s Tavern, Wellfleet Marketplace, Gaa Gallery, Uncle Tim’s Bridge, and the amazing Wellfleet Farmers Market are all within a five minute walk from the property, and the Wellfleet Town Pier and Mayo Beach are within a mile. The property is tucked away at the end of a dead-end street adjacent to Squires Pond and surrounded by woods for ultimate privacy. There is plenty of yard space to run around with the kids, get some yard games going, or play a few rounds of fetch with the family dog (additional fee required). Enter our large, white five bedroom colonial house to find a spacious and clean interior, full of character. The home sleeps eight guests very comfortably, has clearly been cared for, and with the addition of many new furnishings in 2022, you and your guests are sure to feel right at home. The first floor features a living area with a new sectional couch and armchairs surrounding a brick fireplace (not for guest use) and flat screen smart TV equipped with live TV via a YouTube TV streaming subscription. There is a second living area - perfect for relaxing and reading a book or playing a board game - with an antique-style couch, rocking chair, coffee table, pellet stove, and bookcase with a variety of books and board games to choose from. Also on the first floor is an eat-in kitchen, fully equipped with all the tools you will need to cook up your favorite dish, as well as two bedrooms - one with a twin bed and the other with a full bed - and a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo. Walk up the stairs to the second floor, where you will find two more bedrooms - the first with one full and two twin beds and the other with one queen and one twin bed, along with an additional room that includes a twin futon under a skylight. The separate in-law suite has a private entrance with its own smart lock, and features a queen bed, additional couch/armchair seating, TV, full bathroom with a shower and washer/dryer, as well as a deck with outdoor seating that overlooks the screened-in porch - a unique feature and highlight of the property. Surrounded by built-in screens that provide a constant flow of fresh air, the porch is a great place to gather with friends and family for meals, and with plenty of seating, including a dining set, outdoor living set, and hammock, there is ample room for everyone. We like to cook and compared to other rental kitchens it is very well equipped. The surrounding greenbelt provides plenty of privacy and we had room to spread out. Please be aware that all three bedrooms on the second floor are pass through bedrooms and not suitable for parties that need privacy. There are beautiful captains stairs that are also not suitable for anyone with mobility challenges. The in-law suite is beautiful but musty so not good for anyone with allergies. If you don't mind the captains stairs, the pass through bedrooms or have allergies this would be a good place to stay. ##### Emily B. All of the upstairs sleeping rooms are connected to each other with doorways, no hallways. The people sleeping in the room furthest from the top of the stairs must pass through the futon room, and then the room with three beds in it, to get to the stairs (and no bathroom upstairs). There just isn't bedroom privacy upstairs, not in the way we usually think of that. Much worse, all the bedrooms smell like mold/mildew, especially the "in law" bedroom. Our family has rented lots of houses on the Cape, there's no necessity that beach houses have to smell like this one does. Since you are paying a premium price for this house, the mold/mildew odors are inexcusable. The furniture inside the house is pretty awful. Very uncomfortable chairs and couches and not many of them. The outdoor shower was a dribble. No propane grill, so we ended up not grilling because dealing with a fairly small charcoal grill was not worth the hassle. Some big ruts in the dirt driveway, my car bottomed out loudly every time, even going very slowly. This is not a premium house, but it carries a premium price. The bog behind the house is beautiful, but, come dusk, be ready for lots of biting insects. The screenhouse, the one prominently featured in the photos, is the best part of this house, that's where we spent most of our time when we were at the house. ##### Michael C.
