"We’ve been going for years, and we feel the service was not as good and there was a smell in the room. We informed the staff, they apparently brought a machine to change the air but the smell was still there. It’s unfortunate, we usually love this place. Hope this was just a one time things"

"I didn’t eat there. The A/C was good in the room. The room was clean. I had to pay for wi-fi and TV that I told them I would not be using. It was $183 for the 8 days. My internet at home is a 1/3 of that: plus I was not told about this charge until I was checking in. This was deception on their part. The ladder for the bunk bed’s rings were narrow and I twisted my ankle getting up. I should get refund for the unused amenities. Another thing, my cousin , Patty Boyd, sat on the defective chair and fell off the chair. The maintenance man replaced it with another right away and was apologetic. Those metal ladders should be replaced with the narrow 1inch rungs! That is dangerous and my ankle is still swollen from it! I would not recommend this to my friends nor would I come back! The place is not nice enough with the price of the room and the hidden charges. We were disappointed and I am still hurting. There was no ice machine to ice my foot. I think the YMCA would have been better for us with amenities and no hidden charges. That was really disturbing. The unit was so small that I was bumping into my cousin a lot. "Great location, great staff, clean room, huge bed. Now for the bad. If you dont like city noise, select your room carefully. Windows definitely are not soundproof or even slightly noise reducing, street noise (sirens, horns, etc.) was prevalent all night, but hey, it is the city! Other issue is lack of elevators. Be prepared to wait! Overall though, excellent experience and great location just south of central park next to Columbus Circle and Carnegie Hall."
