Overall hotel was lovely - great location, lovely reception. The downfall was the cleanliness of the room (dust around the bed, dirty under the bed) and the drain smell in the rooms. General cleanliness was okay but did need a decent spring clean.

Excellent hotel choice in Kyoto. Super friendly staff, very clean and comfortable rooms. Amazing location. Very recommendable. Will use this hotel every time I go back to Kyoto.

"My room was unfortunately not very clean. I found hair all over that wasn’t mine and the shower door had a build up of grime. The floors are bamboo which is a neat feature but they all had black marks on them. The bed was uncomfortable with very tiny hard pillows and the whole room has a musty smell. ..."
