Beautiful place.
Rented the cabin via VRBO. Didn’t find out til I arrived that there was zero T-mobile cell service. I failed to make sure I had the check in procedures (I think I accidentally deleted the email). It was dark when we arrived and I didn’t have the code for the keybox on the front porch. There was no mobile service I had to drive several miles to Waverly to attempt contact with owner/mgmt. never did speak with the owner, but found that Evolve property management were responsive and helpful. Please note that the aforementioned issues were my fault and I only mention them to help others not repeat my mistakes. (Keep your head email for checkin instructions). When we finally got into the cabin, we found it quite decent. Enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful Getaway
This cabin is in a beautiful location. Very short walk to the lake. The cabin looks like the photos. We did have to improvise with pots because the cabin really didn’t have any - but it was well equipped with all other kitchen needs so the pots weren’t a huge issue. We had to make a feed trips for things we’re forgot and it is a bit of a drive to get to any stores so make sure to have what you need to enjoy stay. There’s really no cell service but cabin has wifi so if needed to connect you can. We actually go to unplug and get away from devices so it was not a focus of ours. We enjoyed our stay playing games and kids ran around outside. Enjoyed marshmallows at the fire pit. Would definitely love to come back.

Wonderful place to relax!
We enjoyed our stay! It was quiet and away from everything. It was very relaxing, just to get away from the hassle and bussle of everyday life. I would like to note that it takes about 30 minutes or so to get anywhere but we didn't mind at all. We would definitely stay again!

Jessica, FYI. All of the property around the lake is TVA property, so you are allowed to enjoy that property. However, you are not allowed on the boat docks around the lake as they are private property. If someone ran you off around the lake shore, they were in the wrong. Tim

Amazing
This property was perfect for a short getaway! The property had amazing views and had everything we could ever ask for. With plenty of ATV trails we were able to spend a lot of time riding. Tim was awesome and we will definitely be back!

Very nice and clean property
We enjoyed our stay. Cabin was very clean and nice. Would stay again. I would recommend some house numbering to coincide with address provided as well as night time lighting at entrance. Our late arrival after dark made it very difficult to find. Nevertheless, we recommend this property.

Best Lake Cabin in the Woods
This is the CUTEST place by the lake. It is definitely out in the woods, but the property has wifi so you are still able to stay connected. Everything was super comfy, felt like a home away from home. I can't wait to go back!

KY Lake cabin
Very cute and clean cabin. Great layout for two bedrooms. Communication with owner was excellent. Very quiet area. The house is just slightly out of cell phone service, but it works on the porch or at the lake which is a short walk. Would stay here again.

Great getaway!
Stayed here for the second time in 6 months. I would recommend to anyone looking to get away from it all. It's super clean, very comfortable and has everything you really need. There isn't any wifi, cable, mobile service, or landline phone, so be prepared to be off the grid.

Clean and nice but zero lake view
The home is very clean and cozy and ready for a nice stay. I had filtered my search for a lake house to be “lake front” and this said “partial view”. Unfortunately that’s not true. You cannot see the lake at all from this house. There is also no cell service, no WiFi and no TV/cable access. That’s not a complaint as it’s nice to cut loose from devices for a few days, but I wish I had known I’d have to drive 30 minutes to check in with my babies. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. I was looking forward to sitting on the porch and seeing the lake but I’ll do more research next time. Bring lots of booze and a favorite DVD and you’ll be all set.

Outstanding property ! Not only was everything extremely neat and clean but brand new. Expertly decorated and stocked with everything you could possibly need, we are already looking forward to renting this cabin again . Cant say enough good things about it.

Solitude and Serenity
Highwater Hideaway is lovely and made for pure relaxation. The house was extremely clean and well-furnished. Our stay went much too fast. The surrounding area is conducive for long or short walks. The neighbors down by the lake are quite neighborly indeed. One man shouted from his porch high above us, "Good morning!" In no time at all you felt like a neighbor. We can't say enough about owners Tim and Paula Jones. Absent-minded husband (the writer of this missive) stashed his wallet in an empty dresser drawer in the master bedroom for ...ahem...safe keeping. When we got home (about a 2-hour drive). and absent-minded husband looked for his wallet, it dawned on him (after searching every crack, nook, crevice and cranny at home) that he had carefully stashed the wallet in the dresser drawer inside the Highwater Hideaway. ... uh, for safekeeping. We emailed Tim, and he alerted the cleaning crew to look inside the dresser drawers. Sure enough, that's where they found the wallet, safely stashed for safe-keeping. Tim said they were traveling to Nashville the next morning to their boutique and they would bring it with them. The absent-minded and slightly embarrassed husband has a wonderful and forgiving wife who was gracious enough to take off work for a couple of hours and drive them to the boutique. The wallet was recovered. Highwater Hideway is a great place to get away from it all ... and Tim and Paula are terrific people! All's well that ends well! Thank you, Tim and Paula!

Relaxing Vacation
The cabin was beautifully decorate and super clean. Everything we needed was provided for cooking. We were there for an event at Loretta Lynn's and traveling back and forth was easy and close enough. Lake is very pretty and peaceful. We definitely would rent again and recommend this property.

Tim went above and beyond for us.
Tim was very helpful with places to eat...!!! And things we could do....!!! My Husband wrecked our Car and Tim got a Family Friend to take us to get a rental car !!! And allowed us to stay a extra night....!!!.I CANT THANK HIM ENOUGH FOR WHAT HE TO HELP US....!!!!

If you are looking for peace and quiet, look no further!
This was exactly what we needed. We arrived after the sun started to go down to welcoming lights in the main room. The place was spotless. It looked like no one had ever stayed there. This is not in the touristy area. This is a private area. We sat on the front porch and did not look at another house. If you want to go on the lake you will need to bring your own boat. I would suggest you bring your groceries as the nearest grocery is in town. We would recommend this to anyone and everyone. We love it.
