About this property
A Historic Place to Stay for Your Historic Days. Gracious Granite Home + Tavern
- Behind our doors awaits a one of a kind experience for your special event or gathering. Whether you are getting married at one of the gorgeous venues in the area, would like to host an intimate social gathering on site, or need to rent a space to gather people from various locations, the Historic Granite House is here to accommodate. This property is available for rentals up to a maximum of one week for 12 overnight guests and 24 seated dinner guests. We have ample parking for a total maximum of 30 guests on the property.
We do not offer longer term rentals.

Originally built in 1877, the Granite House is a private house set on 8.5 acres of grandeur in the historic Jordan Village portion of Waterford, Connecticut. The house boasts three bedrooms, loft, three bathrooms, along with a gourmet kitchen and formal dining room. Aside from the main house sits the property's very own Barn-Tavern with comfortable seating.
The property can accommodate up to a maximum of 30 guests, per the Town of Waterford.
Local to Mohegan Sun & Foxwoods Casino. Many lovely vineyards. Close to Ferries to Long Island & Block Island. Several fishing villlages in the area. Several wedding venues, including Eolia @ Harkness State Park are just a short distance away.
