Nice property inside

Inside the property is lovely, clean and comfortable. Difficult time trying to get into the property as key did not unlock second entryway door. Property is not in a good area/neighborhood which was loud at all hours of the night during the week. Parking spaces are rare and difficult to find near the property even with a parking pass.

Pleasant

The house was very clean and well-stocked, close to attractions, and the owner was helpful and responsive. Our main problem was that the AC wouldn’t kick in, so we were too warm all night. Also, one of the beds must’ve been a fold out or cot - didn’t check but didn’t sleep well. The big bewaswas comf

DC Family Trip

The layout inside beautiful. There were a few things that were surprising. A rack in the master bedroom with linens, unaware if they were dirty or clean. Bath linen washcloths were not available and instructions on parking permits left us without a pass for our first overnight stay. It would have been good to know we were in an area where rats were a constant. That was not an assumption anyone would have made. Though parking was limited we were able to park on the street every day. The place inside was clean, overall there were some areas of transparency that were left out. I apologize but I am not taking pictures of rats or roaches, my host knows that they surround the property. Maybe meet your tenant day one. It's up north, but some visitors may be looking for a southern introduction.

mostly a miss

Often these properties are hit or miss. This was a miss. From the delivery boxes blocking the entry when you first walk in, to the kitchen which was filthy, to garbage left behind from workes (I assume), to the bathroom that was under construction (which we were never notified of), to the construction materials left laying about, to the drywall dust on everything, it was a huge disappointment, especially for the price. It's also a noisy street and you hear everything. The only thing halfway decent was the upstairs so we did stay there to sleep.

10 day stay for a wedding/conference. I first want to say the house itself is a nice home. once renovations are done & owners correct a few things, it’ll be a nice stay. instructions for checking in-clear & to the point. Upon my arrival (4pm check in time) I walked in & noticed how hot it was in the home- upstairs, two portable AC units none downstairs. Someone had to come & bring one for downstairs. I was told the day of arrival the AC had just went out & the owners thought they could repair it (Come to find out per the other owner, the AC was out 3 weeks prior to my arrival) & no one contacted me to let me know. I was told it’ll be repaired the following Monday (I checked in on a Thursday) so I was willing to wait. Monday gets here & I’m told the unit hasn’t been received & the owners will see about getting their back & order from another company & would bring another portable unit. The number of units caused the breaker box to trip & it’s down in the basement which meant going outside to get to. This was an inconvenience There was trash left over from the previous guest & the city never picked up because the trash was not placed on the curb. Due totrash, rats became an issue. Although given a guest pass for parking-got 2 tickets for obstruction of parking. I ended my stay early received a partial refund ( although it wasn’t the correct amount) had to contact VRBO.

The property was very nice as advertised, the neighborhood was ok, communication with the host was great. We did have problems entering & leaving the premises with the house code/smart lock, which was reported to the host. My/our suggestions to the host would be to put shades/binds/curtains in the kitchen windows, as senior citizens, females, best friends for over 50 years who travel together once a year, we felt this would have been added protection, no “peek a boos”. It would have been nice if there were TV’s in the other three bedrooms (TV’s in living room & master bedroom only). I was disappointed that the host had sent me a message stating the guest/tenant in an apartment below said we were “loud” & he couldn’t sleep - we were unaware that a guest/tenant was in a downstairs apartment, we thought we had the entire home/house to ourselves, other than my/our suggestions above to the host, we enjoyed staying in her home.
