"We loved the quaint atmosphere and the quiet elegance of this historic hotel. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. This hotel was also in a very good section of DC and easy to take the metro anywhere. The staff were great and Walde, the bellhop, was friendly and efficient. Couldn't ask for a better hotel during our stay in DC!"

"Great stay for the money. Neighborhood a little dodgy but we never felt unsafe. It is not quiet, especially if you’re facing the street. They actually provided ear plugs and a white noise machine. Noise doesn’t bother me so I slept like a baby. The hotel is “hip” and tasteful and we liked the modern feel of the little room with bunk bed. If you have a car, be sure to get the 1/2 off cost at the parking garage across the street and don’t forget to get your ticket validated! There was no overhead lighting in our room and little in the way of lamps. We didn’t mind though. Perfect for people who won’t spend any time in the room but are interested in getting out and about."
