Great location in Georgetown!

We was really surprised by price of our stay! Excluding daily parking rate (51usd). But the service, friendly personal etc., makes our stay excellent!

Good location, comfortable stay

Posted 17-Apr-2016
Pros: Location, comfy, friendly service
Location: Georgetown, waterfront
The hotel is currently under construction which could be the reason that we could get a really good deal staying here. The price we paid was quite a steal for a four stars hotel and we got a courtyard facing, double queen size bed unit. The room was comfortable and spacious, even though the noise from the hallway and adjacent room was obvious. One thing to note is that the beds are extremely tall. The location is great to access Georgetown area and there are many good restaurants around. However, there is no metro station nearby and parking at the hotel costs almost $50 per night. Street parking are not hard to find but the meters need to be fed every two hours until 7pm, making it much easier just park the car at the hotel. During our stay, due to the construction/system update, the hotel couldn't process check-in/check-out electronically. Checking in/out manually caused long lines and significant waiting time. However, the front desk staff did try their best to make the situation more bearable.

Staycation Dream Spot

Posted 17-Feb-2016 on Hotels
The Fairmont was a beautiful hotel that provided excellent service. All the staff were extremely accommodating and kind. It would have been nice to have a small refrigerator to keep drinks or left over food cold since the neighborhood does not provide many options for convenient and inexpensive dining. Even if you eat at a nearby restaurant, there is nowhere to store left overs. The breakfast at the Fairmont was perfect! I live in the city and will be returning for a local getaway and/or breakfast soon.

February Stay at the Fairmont in Georgetown

Posted 17-Feb-2016
My wife and I were in town for a conference and to visit with our daughter. Our first visit to this Fairmont was very pleasing. The staff was very attentive and the facilities were excellent. We will certainly return when we go back to DC.

Definitely coming back!

As soon as I pulled up to the fairmont, the doorman was extremely friendly & willing to please. He was excellent all weekend & I believe his name is Adem. Also Matthew at the front desk was very professional & as a hospitality grad myself, he set a perfect example of the definition of customer service. Also the hotel itself was beautiful & my king room on the tenth floor had a stunning view & was comfortable, clean & modern. I will definitely be back!
