"The location is fantastic and views unrivalled. The lobby and main dining room were very grand and luxurious. I didn’t feel the rooms were as in keeping. All the the staff in the spa and at breakfast were friendly and courteous, as were those on reception. The downstairs spa has a lovely view but the facilities could do with a refresh/deep clean. In comparison the upstairs spa for treatments was a lot nicer and cleaner. We had a few minor issues- the pull out sofa bed was made up in our room for no reason as we hadn’t requested it and there were only 2 of us staying- it wasn’t a major issue but a bit odd/detracted from the look of the room and the experience. There were also no robes in our room when we checked in- we rang and 2 were brought straight away, but one was very tatty and threadbare. Also in the bar we encountered an issue trying to charge items to our room (we had set up pre authorisation at check in but the bar staff seemed to find this an inconvenience). Breakfast had a fantastic choice. "
