However, upon check-in, we were informed that we needed to pay an additional 1000 baht for a cot, because of three of us in the room. This seemed overpriced, and we ultimately didn't need the cot. Additionally, the hotel restaurant's food was expensive, and the portions were quite small. While there was a happy hour with a "buy one, get one free" certain alcoholic drink offer, it seemed to only apply to juice, which was disappointing. The room itself had issues with drainage, and in the middle of the night, we ran out of toilet paper. Unfortunately, there were no spare rolls available, which was inconvenient. The room also lacked sufficient trash cans. On a positive note, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. However, in our opinion, the overall experience did not justify the high prices for the facilities offered. Based on this experience, we have decided not to book this hotel for future stays. The main swimming pool is fantastically designed and the villas where we stayed are marvellous. We had our own swimming pool in our villa and it was well kept and very clean and safe. The staff are magnificent, all of them, from reception, to the management, to the valets, to the restaurant staff and chefs, gardeners and cleaners. The management staff looked after us, especially Ming (from Nang Rong) who made it very special for us when we needed some assistance. All the staff have the friendly Thai Smile, and cheerful happy faces, and all showed they valued us. It was wonderful and we would definitely love to stay again and enjoy the beauty of Movenpick Resort in Khao Yai. It is a great place to stay for a visit to Khao Yai National Park, but also the beauty of Thailand."
