However, upon check-in, we were informed that we needed to pay an additional 1000 baht for a cot, because of three of us in the room. This seemed overpriced, and we ultimately didn't need the cot. Additionally, the hotel restaurant's food was expensive, and the portions were quite small. While there was a happy hour with a "buy one, get one free" certain alcoholic drink offer, it seemed to only apply to juice, which was disappointing. The room itself had issues with drainage, and in the middle of the night, we ran out of toilet paper. Unfortunately, there were no spare rolls available, which was inconvenient. The room also lacked sufficient trash cans. On a positive note, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. However, in our opinion, the overall experience did not justify the high prices for the facilities offered. However, we were disappointed that the "kids club" were just an empty room with no kids club staff. The gym was also empty and no one was manning it (guess they assumed you can switch on the lights and air-conditioning and do your own work-out). Saw a guy running outside instead of in the gym, so it wasn't just our experience. The swimming pool water was very cold even on a sunny day, pool was alright. On closer look, I noticed that there was small spiders on some of the pool towels (suggestion to probably need to cover the clean towels in wraps).
