The door was a sliding patio door, with a dicey cement step in front of it. Can't lock door from the outside, so you have to still walk through hotel to get to your car. Do not recommend. The room was clean, coffee tea were available. Beds very comfy. Toilet had a loose base and was rocky! Fan in bathroom started with a loud squeal, then was quiet-not the greatest for the midnight bathroom run!" Poorly plowed parking lot and at 9:30pm I could not find parking. Hotel was ok but old and tired in some respects. Poor lighting , noisy heater unit , found dust bunnies and a sock under the bed . I expected more the nightly rate. Breakfast was interesting where there was no milk for cereal (was told by staff in a short and snappy response) “Ran out of Milk” This was at 8:20am I was ok. I will just have an orange juice and get on my way. it turns out the Orange Juice Despenser was out of OJ as well. Only apple juice . My husband and I each got our own bed which I guess wasn’t so bad but I did find the beds not very comfortable. Carpets definitely need to be changed. Pictures do not do it justice. Beds were very very comfortable. Massage chair is to die for. Very big and bright kitchen/dining/living room. Hot tub was hot although some jets did not work and there was a lot of debris at the bottom of the tub. Was nearly impossible to maintain consistent hot water in the showers. Owner came to check and only ran the sinks and said there was no problem. Fridge had water/ice option but was not functional/operational. Also, says we must strip bedding and remove garbage, however two of the garbages already had garbage in them so we felt like we were cleaning up after other people.A tad pricey overall for 2 nights and travelling from Niagara to not have hot water while celebrating an engagement. May consider returning. Easy access to the property, well stocked with toiletries, paper products and coffee. The basement is basically a basement apartment with a bedroom, bath, kitchen and living room, and the main floor and upstairs are quite spacious with 3 more bedrooms and an additional bathroom. This was so much more comfortable than a hotel. I'm sure we'll be back in the summer to enjoy the backyard pool. Thank you to our host."
