The room was comfortable and the shower hot. They had a lovely bar area for a pre-dinner drink and dinner was delicious. We found the water conservation and rainwater use fascinating and applaud their efforts. We were a little concerned about the long downhill on the road to get to the lodge from the track knowing we had to go up the next day. Imagine the wonderful surprise when the front desk told us they shuttle trekkers to the track in their van. A super nice way to start as the track started with a long, steep uphill. Their restaurant has been damaged but they let us know that in advance and continued to provide excellent meals at the spacious dock or delivered to the room. We ate at the dock for dinner and breakfast. They also provided a delicious bag lunch on request. The trek back uphill to the track was a bit more strenuous than we wanted to start our longest day!"
