Not bad. Walls are thin. Staff is a bit snooty. The Nordic spa is very nice. The location is far enough from downtown Canmore to be away from it all yet close enough to walk, bike, or drive. We don't recommend staying there when a large group has taken over the restaurant. Really, you can hear the whooping and hollaring throughout every floor of the hotel. We did get some compensation for this after complaining twice.

Great place to stay. The parking fee was a little too much but we had no problem in street parking near the hotel maybe because we stayed there at the shoulder season.

For the level of accommodation, location, and time of year the price was excellent. If we could get the same deal again, we would be happy to stay at the Château. Check-in was very quick and we were given all the information we needed with regard to Wi-Fi and the attached restaurant. The room, while small compared to other places we have stayed, was perfectly adequate and had all the amenities we needed. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was not a particularly hot day, but even then the air conditioner was only just adequate. The room was at the rear of the hotel, which gave us something of a view of the mountains, but was also close to the rail line. However, the trains were not frequent and this was not a problem. In the morning we went to the attach restaurant and had a very good breakfast at a good price.

I would suggest instructions for the shower, hard to know what all the levers were for

We stayed in the suite with two separate bedroom areas and a kitchen in between. It's older property and long overdue for renovation which doesn't bother me but might bother some. There are no blackout curtains and the curtains barely covered the window so it's very bright in the morning. The staff tried to be helpful but when my neighbors were repeatedly noisy starting at 10:45 p.m. it took a lot of prompting for the front desk to ask them to be quiet. For three nights in a row.
