We are about an hour's drive from Opotiki along State Highway 35, which is part of the spectacular Pacific Coast Highway. The tree house as the name suggests is nestled amongst large native tree. With large grounds there’s plenty of room for the boat or for the kids to play around. Elevated above the ground there are views of the surrounding hills and the sea. Inside the two large bedrooms will sleep up to about six people quite comfortably. The beds will be made up with fresh linen when you arrive. The kitchen and lounge are open plan and the range slider leads out onto the deck. Bach was absolutely spottless clean. I could back a 6.2 meter boat into the section but you would struggle if it was bigger. It's about 15min drive to Waihau Bay ramp which was no problem. The Waihou Bay boat ramp is a scenic 20 minute drive away and the sandy beach opposite the Waihou Bay campground is excellent for swimming. The treehouse cottage has everything you need and is pet friendly so the pooch had a great holiday also. Margaret is right next door so is available to answer any questions or lend her kayaks.
