To their credit the receptionist was very apollogetic, come over and tried her best to get rid of it. We were also moved to a different room the next day (we arrived late the 1st night, they were fully booked) and were offered a later check out and complementary water during our stay. The room looks new but I killed a small cockroach as soon as I entered the room. Otherwise it was clean like the bedding, bathroom etc. The bathroom is small. The price is cheap so I think it is good value for money. There is no restaurant in the hotel itself, but plenty to find around. Clean and quite sacious rooms. At least one receptionist could speak english. You can still request for kettle and cups if you want to make drinks. Room is pretty clean and spacious. Location is good as I can walk to the Front beach (Bai Sau) within 2 minutes and can just come back to the hotel for shower after having a nice dip at the beach. There are couple of local restaurants nearby and Circle K convenient shop is just a couple of steps away. Some of the Vung Tau tourist attractions (e.g. Jesus Christ's statue, Front Beach (Bai Truoc)) are about 2km away so you can either walk there or get a taxi. This can't make up for the fact that I did not sleep so much, for the staff was speaking so loudly together the whole night in the lobby.
