"The room was clean except the bathroom toilet. The bathroom smelled liked pee. No ice bucket for ice. The refrigerator doesn't get really cold. Has a hard time opening the door because it was fresh painted a couple of days ago which made the door hard to open. Needed a bigger trash can in the room. If they upgrade the things they needs to be done, this hotel would be a place to stay. Very convenient to places to shop and eat."
"Gorgeous property and friendly staff (and guests). The beds were incredibly comfortable, with multiple pillows to suit varying tastes. Breakfast: so plentiful that we didn't eat again until late afternoon. Baked goods were exceptional. Parking was so easy. Walking distance to downtown sites is very short. I would stay here again any time!"

Beautiful sunsets, Cypress trees and Spanish moss retreat
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay! The property setting is really beautiful with the sunsets, easy access to the water, and a lovely swing to sit and watch the water. It was nice to sit outside and have coffee in the morning. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and exploring the area, including the Pocosin Lake National Wildlife Refuge. We drove out about 40 mins to the Pungo Unit of the refuge and saw a few bears! The house itself is comfortable and well-stocked for enjoying meals at home. We did try The Depot and enjoyed their subs and pizza. There is a Food Lion about 10 minutes away as well. A great place to sit back, relax and enjoy!"
