Lovely 5 bedroom house with outdoor pool, situated within the urbanization of Audiencia, next to Praia Verde, in the unspoilt East Algarve, 15km from Tavira and 8km from Vila Real de Santo Antonio. Set among pine trees and close to all amenities the house is five minutes walk (250 metres)from the superb sandy beach and two restaurants and a cafe/bar. Casa Reis is within a few minutes drive of five superb golf courses, including the new Jack Nicklaus, Monte Rei course, and backs onto a national reserve of pine trees. Casa Reis, laid out over three floors with terraces overlooking the swimming pool. It has views over the national park and towards the sea, and is luxuriously furnished throughout its 5 bedrooms, living room and dining area, together with a luxuriously appointed kitchen. The linked house is air conditioned and is luxuriously furnished to a high standard. The house does not have off street parking. However there is plenty of parking spaces on the road outside the house. The beautiful Ria Formosa!: The Ria Formosa in the Algarve is a beautiful labyrinth of lagoons separated from the sea by a coastal dune system which is broken up by various natural inlets. It is one of the most important nature reserves in the network of wetlands that links Europe and sub-Saharan Africa. The Ria has an enormous variety of natural habitats that provide refuge, feeding and breeding areas for an infinite number of flora and fauna and is a haven for birds. The beaches of the isles of Faro, Barreta, Culatra, Armona and Tavira form a natural barrier to the Ocean. Behind are the dunes, sometimes just a narrow strip and sometimes wider and then come the labyrinth of lagoons and small sand islands and channels. At low tide other salty habitats are uncovered forming marches and salt marshes. A wintering ground for many migratory birds. This is a lovely property that is very close to the beach and a 5 min cycle ride to Monte Gordo. There is also a nearby shop attached to a cafe that is perfect for essentials. The beach itself (5 mins walk away) is stunning and seems to go on forever. As is clear from the pictures, decoratively the house is a tad dated inside. For those who don't mind this, however, it offers a perfect Algarve beach house. Although the house has 5 bedrooms, the small living area would make it a bit of a squeeze for large gatherings, ie any more than 6 adults and 2 small children. One word of caution: if you travel to the Algarve in winter (Dec-Jan), as we did, be prepared for its unpleasant combination of very cold night temperatures and high humidity (= a lot of damp, wet surfaces outside and even mould inside), something for which we were unprepared! Very few Portuguese houses seem to be built to deal with this problem, and ours was no exception. The house does not have a tumble dryer so we took many trips to the launderette as it was impossible to dry clothes by hanging. As I understand it, however, outside of winter damp is not an issue. There was excellent communication from the owners throughout: they were quick to respond to any questions or issues, and forgiving of our small breakages, which was much appreciated. Overall, highly recommended! (Just maybe avoid winter). ##### Tim M. Wij waren met 8 volwassenen en 1 tiener. In de kelder is 1 slaapkamer, maar deze heeft geen raam/geen frisse lucht. Op 2de verdieping zijn 3 mooie slaapkamers 2 met balkon en 1 met badkamer er gelijk naast. Op deze verdieping is nog 1 badkamer. Op 1ste verdieping 1 slaapkamer met slaapbank, badkamer, woonkamer en keuken. Wasmachine nodig om zelf de handdoeken te wassen, bij aankomst zijn bedden opgemaakt en liggen er voor iedereen 2 handdoeken. Buiten staat een mooie nieuwe eethoek. Bedden zijn hard maar dat is overal ook in de hotels/app. Zwembad wordt schoongemaakt bij mooi weer. In monte gordo fietsen huren, maar in winter met vroeg donker is een auto aan te bevelen, ik zou dan 's avonds van centrum monte gordo niet terug fietsen naar het huis. Das Haus ist gut abgeschattet und es lässt sich hier gut aushalten. Der Pool nach vorn zum Haus ist erst mal etwas ungewöhnlich abkühlen tut er aber trotzdem ;-) Das Haus ist zweckmäßig eingerichtet und es fehlt an nichts. mit 8 Personen lässt es sich gut aushalten jeweils in den Doppelzimmern.
