It was a quiet hotel and neighborhood; the room was spacious; and the bed was comfortable. I booked this place to be near the Thai embassy, but there are actually two Thai embassies in Vientiane! I didn't realize til later that this hotel was the one further away from the embassy that I needed. During my 3 day stay, the WiFi was very spotty. A deep cleaning of the shower curtain was also needed. There is not much around in the neighborhood, but a short walk will get you to some local restaurants and the park. The breakfast was better the first day than the second. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the room was a good size and offered all the advertised facilities. The area seemed very safe. There are some bars and restaurants close by. It is about a mile to the main entertainment area but there are plenty or tuk tuks about or it is a twenty minute walk, all very flat.
