"I booked and paid for my one night more than six months ago. A few days before my arrival I wrote to the hotel and informed them of my arrival time. I received an answer back telling me that I would be welcomed at that time. However, standing at the reception in the evening at my arrival, I was informed that I had no booking at the hotel. I showed the receptionist my confirmed booking. I showed proof of my payment. And I kept getting the same response: “You don’t have a booking, and there is no...

"The apartments are nice but the hotel is located at the junction of two mountain rivers which are very noisy. The internet said that the hotel had 24hr reception but it is only open for limited hours and closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The hotel swimming pool was also closed for the first part of our visit. Probably all this was incorporated into the price we paid but the advertising didn't state it."

Hotel Roc Meler

10/10 Excellent

"Comfortable Stay with Beautiful Views and Great Amenities We had a nice stay at Roc Meler Hotel in Andorra. The rooms were comfortable, with great views overlooking the town. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a good variety of options to start the day. The hotel also offers a dinner buffet, which we didn’t try, and there is an Irish pub onsite serving burgers and staying open until late, which is a convenient option after a day of exploring. They also have a spa and massage services that we would love to try on our next visit. Private parking costs €18, but it’s a plus that the hotel has two EV charging stations, which was very convenient for us. The staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit. There are plenty of amenities to enjoy, and we definitely plan to return for a longer stay to make the most of everything the hotel has to offer!"

Hotel Piolets Soldeu Centre by Nexta

10/10 Excellent

"Our first impressions were mixed as this was our first time at a ski resort in the summer and there was some building work outside of the hotel we didn’t know about that concerned me and a lot of the guests were more senior so we were skeptical . We quickly changed our minds. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, we all had plenty of room and the bathrooms were very generous. The sliding doors blocked the outside noise! Not sure where I’d hang all the wet ski stuff but not a problem this time. The food was great, good selection, especially good breakfast buffet. Staff lovely and helpful. Spa and gym very well equipped . Shame it wasn’t open for longer hours. Hotel arranged a massage for one of us, they were especially lovely to my son who happens to be Autistic, I was very impressed by their kindness in this regard. The entertainment was really good also and not just for families with little kids, everyone got involved. We liked the whole multigenerational vibe here . Soldeu has some excellent restaurants and loads to do at a very reasonable price. We will definitely back to ski ! Thank you x"

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Vernaux?

The best time to visit Vernaux is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasant and the region is less crowded.

For those looking for outdoor activities like hiking and cycling, spring offers mild temperatures and blooming landscapes. The days are long enough for extensive exploration of the Pyrenees foothills, and you'll find the local markets beginning to brim with fresh produce.

Couples looking for a relaxing escape will appreciate the autumn months. The vineyards surrounding Vernaux are particularly picturesque as the leaves change colour, and the cooler weather is superb for enjoying the local cuisine and wine without the summer heat.
