Away from the crowds of San Marco, this building was nonetheless and easy walk to all you would want to see and do, and moments from the most charming restaurants, shops, museums, and it really is right on the canal. From the start, Rita proved to be an excellent host, providing us with plenty of helpful information about the apartment and the neighborhood before our arrival, which made planning so much easier. The location close to the Canal Grande is unbeatable. The apartment itself is spacious and has a charming, vintage feel with its decor and overall style. While some of the facilities are a bit older and the place shows its age, I personally found it added to the cozy, lived-in atmosphere. With its many books and personal photos, it felt like staying at a friend’s or family member’s home! The space is large enough for a family, but it was also perfect for my Biennale visit with a colleague. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Rita's apartment! ##### David B. The view from the bedroom and the living room onto the canal was beautiful however we struggled with the noise. We are deep sleepers and visiting from New York so we are used to living in noisy places with the sound of cars, ambulances, people talking, etc., but we found this to be exceptionally loud. I'm not sure if it's because we visited during the off-season so there was more construction than usual but the sound of the boats moving equipment, picking up trash, and driving by in the middle of the night and early morning made it practically impossible to sleep through the night. I understand that staying on a canal (especially off the Grand Canal) comes with some noise but we were surprised by just how loud it was. That said, the apartment was in a nice area and we enjoyed everything, just not the noise. Rita was also lovely and very communicative. ##### Brontë G. Learn to use the vaparetto (it’s easy, watch a YouTube video) and you can go anywhere in Venice quickly and easily. There are 2 nice grocery stores less than 5 minutes away and many outdoor restaurants close to the apartment. I recommend this apartment and will stay there again. ##### Steve E. The apartment has a desk, critical for my work, although I ended up turning the dining room into an office space. Because the building is steps from a docking area, when the water taxi dropped me off, I didn't have to lug my bags through the warren of Venice streets with their many staired bridges. The 2 bedrooms and 2 baths gave each of us privacy and space to spread out. We cooked several meals in the kitchen and found all pots /pans/etc. we needed. Be aware the coffee maker is a stovetop espresso pot, something my sister had not used before but learned ! Watching traffic and light on the canal was fascinating , but did come with some noise- which did not bother us. The washer kept our clothes to carryon suitcases. Pictures are very accurate.The apartment sits on a waterfont campo- we were able to take a water taxi directly there to and from the airport , which was a great splurge. The owner communicated very clearly and quickly. The place feels like a family living space, not a tourist apartment , which was appealing to us.Location can't be beat - a less than 15 minute walk to the Rialto Bridge, and close to the San Toma vaporetto stop. We also used the traghetto from San Toma, which was a fun experience! You are close to many of the popular attractions, so there are always tourists until you turn off of Campo San Polo.All in all , I feel this place is an excellent choice for a stay in Venice, and a terrific value. ##### sharon s. A view of the grand canal through most every window. Tiny balconies in master bedroom - not large enough for sitting but you could stand and watch the gondolas and water taxis go by on the side canal. The apartment is huge. Kitchen well equipped. We only did breakfast but you could do large meals if you want and there is a very large dining room if you choose to have a formal dinner. Neighborhood is outstanding. Safe and quiet. Close to restaurants, shopping, water taxis, anything you could want. Rita was just amazing before and during our visit. Every question was cheerfully answered. Bookings were efficiently made for us. All of her suggestions we spot on. We would have been lost without her. ##### Elaine B.
