The home was wonderful. The family room and kitchen were large and very comfortable. The bedrooms are small but functional. We had a fantastic stay. Thank you.
Excellent location...walking distance to great restaurants and all tourist spots without being in the throngs of all the people! Wonderful place. Did not want to leave.
Beautiful decor. Comfortable. We tried using the washer/dryer. No matter what cycle we tried, the door would not open. The day we were to leave the housekeeper opened the filter and found two plastic gelato spoons in it. Maybe put up a sign - “empty all pockets before doing laundry”. We left with wet clothes that we hung to dry in Rome. Nevertheless of all the 4 places we stayed this was the nicest.
This apartment was beautiful and the location was great! The whole family was sad we couldn’t stay here longer! We will definitely remember this property to share with friends and for us to return to as well! Thank you!
Beautiful renovated 3 bedroom suite in a great location. Huge living room with super comfortable couches and floor to ceiling windows covering the entire wall. Kitchen was very well equipped to eat all the meals in. Plus there is a wine shop 10 steps from the front door!!
We had the most incredible time at our stay here. The host was amazing, personally greeted us as we arrive and gave us a tour. He was also available anytime we had a question. Each room had its own charm and was perfect for our family of 5. The kitchen was very modern and had everything we needed. We highly reccomend this place!
Me and a few friends loved our stay here. The house was impeccable from top to bottom. We appreciated the location and the fact that it’s just a short walk from the busy part of Venice. It also has wonderful pieces of art in display that help bring it all together. Bravo!
THE PERFECT apartment for a magical experience of Venice
The apartment was beautiful arranged for space, sleeping arrangements and considering the closeness to all the wondrous sights of Venice, especially quiet. Thank you.

Our stay was simply amazing. After some major delays and issues during our travel, our contact Salvador was simply a sight for sore eyes! He made arrangements for a water taxi to pick us up and drop us off right near the property! Then he was kind enough to make arrangements for return trip. The home is gorgeous and I’m close proximity to all activities. I would highly recommend this property and thank the owners for a wonderful memorable stay.
We absolutely loved this property! The apartment was comfortable. It was tucked away from all of the crowds and Yet never seemed far from anything. We would definitely stay here again! The hosts were also super helpful when we were unable to get a water taxi to take us back to the parking garage. They were able to get one for us without any trouble. We were so very thankful as it would have been a bit of a walk with all of our luggage… we did not pack light.
This place was amazing! Very beautiful and well-appointed. Ample room for me and four other adults. Loved the casement doors and windows. My only complaint is that it was very warm and humid in early June and we weren't able to control our AC temperature which was controlled remotely by the owner. I requested it to be turned down to 21C but it never really moved from 24C which is about 78F. So we slept with the windows open to get some air and there are mosquitos at night and no screens on the windows. But we loved Venice and would definitely recommend it!
We stayed at five different VRBOs during our trip through Italy and the biggest and nicest one was ironically in the most space constrained city. All of Venice is a mere walk from any other part so it was nice to be away from the really busy sections. Yet there was plenty around and only like twelve minutes to walk to piazza San Marco. The place itself was wonderful. Huge open room with large windows looking down a quaint street. And three bedrooms with two baths. Windows on three sides.Has all the necessary amenities and we were glad to get a load of laundry done. The next time I’m in Venice this will certainly be my first choice to stay.
The apartment was truly an amazing gem. It was large, had lots of space for 3 of us to move around comfortably, & was equipped with everything we needed in the kitchen as well as a washing machine in the unit, which was helpful after our traveling from Firenze & Verona. We loved all the Artsy decoration, and the large windows.
Water Taxi from the train station to our stop Ospedale, was easy, just a few stops and a nice way to see the city from the water, then just a short walk to apartment.
Our host was there to meet us, after great communication through WhatsApp.
Returning home was also easy, take water taxi from Ospedale & straight to the Airport, which again was a a few stops, & a nice way to say farewell to the beautiful city of Venice.
Enjoy your stay, Highly recommend.
Beautiful, spotlessly clean, stylishly decorated, sunny, surprisingly roomy modern apartment on a quiet, safe, uncrowded street. I (50s F) rented this apartment for myself, my mother (70s) and my son (30). My mom, who has some mobility issues, was delighted to find an elevator in the building. We appreciated each having our own bedroom, and it was great to have 2 full bathrooms. The kitchen was fully functional but we didn't need it. No one goes to Venice to cook their own food! So many lovely outdoor cafes on every street. There is nothing wrong with this apartment at all, but a few things you should be aware of. First, that the smallest bedroom is very small, with only a chair that unfolds to a single mattress that was a bit small for my 6' tall son. Perfect for a child, though! Second, there are no screens in the windows and it can feel a bit stuffy. Third, the best way to get around Venice is the vaporetti, but the closest stops (Ospedale and Celestia) are a bit of a walk, involve stairs, and these stops have limited service after 8pm. (On the other hand, if you are in decent physical condition, you can walk everywhere on the island from this apartment.) Fourth, trash is complicated. You have to find a way to get rid of it all on the day you leave even though every type of trash is not picked up every day.We loved our stay, it was fairly priced, the service was excellent, and the host's off-the-beaten-track restaurant recommendations were absolute gems.
We are restricted to traveling in summer due to my husbands work schedule. We wanted to visit Venice but dreaded the peak season crowds. Gallery House was PERFECT in that we were tucked away in a very quiet, private neighborhood in a gorgeous home. It was a calm oasis toward the end of our holiday. We were as close to the sites as we needed to be. Neighborhood cafes and restaurants were yummy and friendly.
Cons: only one. perhaps due to timing we had to pay up front 100%, no cancellation/refunds, so didn’t know of the late checkin fees until after we committed. Our flight didn’t arrive in time to avoid extra check-in fees. Not a huge fee, but unexpected. No big deal, but would have been great to know prior to booking.
Otherwise, all was wonderful! We were 4 adults, my husband and I and two adult children. Loved the common areas too - relaxing on the sofa or playing cards at the dining table surrounded by beautiful art was a real treat at this stage of our trip. Thanks for sharing this gorgeous property.
We loved our stay. Perfect for a family. The apartment was in a great location, everything was in walking distance. The apartment was very clean. Check-in was a breeze. The owner was very prompt in getting back to us with answers to all of our questions.
