This stay is a no brainer for visitors who are here to tour the village for a few days. The hotel is a five minute walk from the train station and another five minutes of walking leads through the village to the Roman ruins. This hotel has high quality linens and tastefully designed rooms. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The dining options are great with many light bites, hand made which is especially welcome when you’re hungry off the train.

They tried so hard to make this a 4+ star hotel but it just doesn't manage it. The breakfast isn't worth the 20 euros that it costs. The bed was so hard that I had to take ibuprofen to deal with the hip pain after the night and the mildew in the room was bad. The whole family was coughing or sniffling after spending 5 nights there. We were VIP+ and had one of the 2 bedroom suites. We're in room #1. The mosquitoes in the private backyard were so bad that we had a hard time using the only table that seated all 6 of us.

Well run and decent all around. Excellent location in the touristy old town. The downside is party people are noisy so bring ear plugs. We didn't opt for the breakfast because we felt it was a bit pricey and we were happy to go get a croissant and cafe au lait ourselves.
