Casale il Troncolo is a beautiful farmhouse with the typical architecture of Tuscan farm buildings, built in the mid-1800s. The cottage with its garden are located within the extraordinary setting of the Migliarino private natural park, owned since 1500 by the Salviati family. The farmhouse, used in the past as a gamekeeper's residence, was renovated in 2007 respecting tradition and preserving the original architectural elements. Guests looking for peace and quiet will be welcomed in an oasis of greenery in the middle of one of the best preserved pine forests on the Tuscan coast. The rooms are furnished with an elegant country simplicity, are large and arranged on two floors with two bedrooms with bathroom on the upper floors and lounge, kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor and direct access to the garden. A few steps from the farmhouse a private gate, strictly reserved for the guests of the Troncolo, gives access to the forest, a natural reserve, part of the Migliarino, San Rossore and Massaciuccoli Regional Park. Once through the entrance, long avenues and paths that intertwine in the midst of domestic pines, holm oaks, bald cypresses and oaks await you on an area of 2000 hectares. You may come across deer, wild boar and other wild animals that live there in absolute freedom. Just 4 km along the main road, also beautiful for cycling, you can reach the enchanting sandy beach of Marina di Vecchiano, adjacent to the forest and always part of the Natural Park. Here you can choose whether to take advantage of the bathrooms equipped with deckchairs, bars and comfortable services, or enjoy the unspoiled nature of the kilometers of free beach that extends to Torre del Lago and then Viareggio. Important historic Tuscan cities are in the immediate vicinity: Pisa at 7km, Lucca at 13km, Florence at 80km, Forte dei Marmi at 20km, Torre del Lago at 10km (with its renowned Pucciniano festival). Arranged on two floors with 2 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with shower on the first floor and a large kitchen with fireplace and large living room with sofa bed and bathroom with shower on the ground floor. Sehr gepflegt und traumhaft ruhig. Ideal für Ausflüge und zum Radeln durch den Pinienwald ans Meer, aber auch zum Verweilen an Ort und Stelle; der gepflegte weitläufige Garten lädt mit seinen duftenden Rosen und schattenspendenden Bäumen gerade dazu ein. Jedes Zimmer hat ein eigenes, sehr liebevoll gestaltetes und sauberes Bad mit Dusche, und es ist alles da, was man so braucht. Das Haus ist groß, schön und funktional eingerichtet. Der Empfang und die Informationen waren super. Der umzäunte naturbelassene Park/das Naturschutzgebiet mit eigenem Zugang ist wunderschön und riesig. Die Rudel des Damwilds mit ihren Jungen lassen sich wunderbar beobachten und fotografieren. Der nahegelegene Strand (besser mit Auto 10 Minuten) ist wunderschön und Mitte März waren wir fast allein. Zum Kennenlernen der Toskana ist die Lage ideal. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Die anderen Ferien-Wohnungen im Haus lassen auch im Garten Individualität zu. Wir haben von einer belegten Nachbarwohnung nichts bemerkt. Der parkartige Garten bietet viel Platz, die sichere Umzäunung erlaubte auch unserem Hund viele Freiheiten. Der nahe gelegene Spiaggia Marina Di Vecchiano bot uns, aber auch unserem Hund wunderbare Stunden am Meer. Gute Fahrräder, eine ebenso gut erhaltene überdachte Tischtennisplatte sowie die Möglichkeit Dart zu spielen boten auch am Haus tolle sportliche Abwechslungen. Das Haus ist gut gelegen, um die sehr nahen Orte Lucca, Pisa, aber auch um rasch Florenz und Siena sowie viele weitere Orte und Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Toskana zu besuchen. Die Betreuung durch Silvia war freundlich und herzlich. Wir hatten eine entspannende und abwechslungsreiche Woche und haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Wir fahren seit 40 Jahren oft in die Toskana, haben viele Häuser bewohnt und können gerne feststellen, dass Il Troncolo die Vergleiche sehr gut besteht. Der Zugang zum Meer nach dem Meer ist leider beschwerlicher als ich der Beschreibung nach angenommen hatte und auch nicht so romantisch wie man den Bildern glauben möchte - nach dem Naturpark kommt eine enge, sehr befahrene Strasse zum Meer, die man mit dem Fahrrad eigentlich nicht befahren kann, weil sie sehr eng ist und sehr viele Autos fahren. (mit Kindern viel zu gefährlich!!) Auch mit dem Auto landet man erst einmal auf einem riesigen Parkplatz . Die andere Möglichkeit zum Meer (mit dem Fahrrad) führt an eine Stelle am Meer, an der ein Fluss mündet und außerdem eine Landzunge vorgelagert ist, da gab es leider nur braunes Flusswasser und keine Wellen. Auch der Naturstrand zeichnet sich dort leider dadurch aus, dass einfach alles liegenbleibt, was das Meer anspült und die Leute leider noch zusätzlich ihren Müll hinwerfen. Also unser Plan mit dem Fahrrad durch den Naturpark zum Meer zu fahren hat leider nicht funktioniert, deshalb für mich einen Punkt Abzug. Für Leute, denen es nichts ausmacht, das Auto auch im Urlaub ständig zu benutzen, ist es vielleicht besser geeignet. Wie gesagt, das Haus selbst und der Garten sind wunderschön und die Vermieterinnen sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. ##### Gudrun G. Das Haus liegt direkt im Nationalpark Migliarino. Mit dem Fahrrad kommt man gemütlich zum Meer. Von hier aus kommt man an viele Spots der Toscana. Wir würden regelmäßig von Hirschen, Rehen, Wildschweinen oder Wiedehopfen besucht. Silvia war ein großartiger Host und stand bei Fragen immer zur Verfügung. ##### André S. We spent one unforgettable week in this place full of charm and character. The house was extremely clean and fully equipped. The host was very nice and gave us useful suggestions on how to spend our time. We appreciated the proximity of the forest and the wild beaches, the little rabbits running around in the nearby fields in the evenings, the calm environment, the intimacy ensured by the host and the fireplace! Die Küche ist auch gut bestückt falls man selbst kochen möchte. Der Mega großer Garten mit Terrasse lässt keine Wünsche offen, Sonne bis zum Abend genießen und auf der Wiese ausgiebig toben. Von der Lage her ist es sehr ruhig gelegen, perfekt zum erholen und trotzdem hat man nicht so weit bis nach Pisa und die Geschäfte ( connad 800m, Lidl und penny ca. 10 km ) zum einkaufen.
