Very nice clean place in beautiful location. Small but upscale. We enjoyed our 4 nights there very much. Seems quite luxurious for the size and all the amenities were there with a nice feeling of privacy. It was a big help that there was a washer/dryer. The only two things I can call drawbacks wouldn't even matter for most people. It's more like a studio than a one bedroom as there is no door between the kitchen and bedroom areas. My wife is a light sleeper so I couldn't make coffee or breakfast without the light or noise waking her. Also, the walking path to the entrance is up a small grass hill that would be no problem for most people, but my wife has a bad knee and hill was a small issue for her. All in all though I can highly recommend the place for a single person or couple looking for a place at Lake Como. Very private, relaxing, clean, well appointed, and nicely decorated. The neighborhood felt very safe and was close enough to everything we came to Varenna for. Having a garage to park in was also very nice. ##### Joseph K. The view to Lake Como was spectacular. The hosts live next door and were very attentive without being disruptive. The only negative I can mention is that we used the kitchen to cook a meal and there were no essentials like salt/pepper/olive oil - most other VRBOs we have stayed at have those available. But we did have 4 delicious fresh eggs when we arrived and the hosts provided a mini happy hour with appetizers and wine on our first night.
