  • The sun dances on the brow from the multiple screened porches at Sundance Rock. Floor to ceiling windows of amazing views, wide open living spaces and double master suites will make you wish for a longer stay! Fully equipped kitchen with island gives you plenty of room to serve up your favourite meals. Open living room with allllll the views (plus a sleeper sofa), complete with gas log fireplace when it's a little chilly on the mountain. Double master suites, each with its own en-suite bath and screened porch. Outside spaces include a large, deep covered porch to enjoy the views in any kind of weather, and a fire pit on the mountains edge. Mentone offers artist & antique shops and restaurants. Nearby activities include golf, DeSoto State Park, Little River Canyon National Preserve, horseback riding, hiking along rivers & waterfalls. Sundance Rock was perfect!

We planned to stay for 4 nights but we had such a wonderful time we extended our stay 2 more days. The cabin was great with fantastic views! We loved the huge back patio and screened in porches and spent the majority of our time there. We enjoyed the beautiful sunset every night. The house was spotless and met all of our needs. We will return!

Great Place with Great View

Sundance Rock is a great place for a relaxing stay in Mentone. My wife and I went for a 3 night, 4 day get away. Among the places we’ve stayed in Mentone, it was the quietest. A couple of a family of 4 would find this a perfect place to spend a weekend or longer. Close to downtown Mentone and only a short drive to DeSoto Falls, DeSoto State Park, and only a little farther to the Little River Canyon. The property manager, Delightful Retreats provided excellent service before and during our stay. Next time we need to get away, we will definitely book Sundance Rock again.

We had an amazing time at Sundance Rock! We love this beautiful cabin and our grandkids really enjoyed playing on the rocks and areas surrounding the cabin. We highly recommend it and we will definitely be back! Thank you!!!

This is an awesome house and perfect for two couples. The view is great. The people in Mentone are so friendly and kind. Holley with delightful retreats is the best. I don't know how our stay could have been made better.

Beautiful as always!

We were at Sundance Rock to deal with a family members death. As usual Sundance Rock was our very comfortable home away from home and a shelter in an emotional storm. It was the perfect place to be.

Gorgeous cabin!

Look no further! If you are visiting the Mentone area, you need to stay here! This cabin is beautiful and super clean! The owners have decorated with such detail! So cozy! The porch is huge with beautiful view! My husband and I stayed 3 nights and enjoyed the peace and quiet away from everything. Convenient to Fort Payne, DeSoto Park waterfalls, and an easy 45 minute drive to Chattanooga. We will definitely be back!!

Perfect visit to Mentone, AL!

5 Stars for our 3rd visit this year to Sundance Rock in Mentone, AL. We travel from different states to have quality family time together and Sundance Rock is perfect for us. This visit we spent a lot of time on the porch as the weather was perfect. We enjoyed outdoor meals and star gazing. We hope to continue to return many times as the entire area from DeSoto state park to Chattanooga is filled with excitement and the nicest people on the planet!

Wonderful week on the Brow!

This was our first time staying in this cabin. We chose it because it was perfect to have another couple join us for part o the week. The bedrooms were on either end of the cabin with a large open den, dining room and kitchen in the middle. The porch was wonderful with a great view. The beds were very comfortable. Everything was clean and comfortable. We will probably return in the Fall with our friends.

Great weekend at Sundance Rock

We have stayed at Sundance Rock 5 times. It’s a gorgeous cabin with an amazing view. The layout of the cabin is well thought out. The kitchen is well stocked. Beds are comfortable. It’s everything and more that you need. Property Manager, Holly, goes above and beyond to make you feel right at home. Highly recommend Delightful Retreats and Sundance Rock !!!

Sundance Rock was such a great property! The back porch was amazing! I could have spent our entire trip on the porch....so relaxing. Cabin was very nice, clean, comfortable and close to everything we needed and wanted to do from hiking to hopping over to Chattanooga for a fun day outing.Definitely a must stay place if you are visiting Menton, AL or the area.

This cabin is convenient to the shops and restaurants of Mentone but also feels secluded. The interior is spacious and comfortable (and spotless)—but the best part of the place is the expansive porch looking off the mountain into the valley. The porch runs the width of the cabin, with individual screened sections on each side for each bedroom, a covered but unscreened central section—all with comfortable porch furniture. We were often above the clouds, looking down on a magical landscape. We did leave and go into to town (no one wanted to cook, although the kitchen is well-stocked) but we would have been just as happy to enjoy the porch for our entire stay.

Sundance Rock cabin itself is a beautiful, unique structure! The flooring is gorgeous. And it's decorated nicely. We love the open feel to all the rooms, with all the windows highlighting the spectacular views!! No steps (ramp) into the front door is a plus getting our luggage, etc. in/out. The cabin is so comfortable, with everything we needed for a wonderful stay! It's so peaceful and just beautiful in the spring. Of course, the back deck is where I spent most of the time there! Looking over the valley, whether morning, noon, or night, was heavenly. We would - no question - stay again!!

Fall Visit

Sundance Rock is the perfect cabin for two couples. We each had our own wonderful king size bed and bathroom. The front porch overlooks the brow and goes across the whole front of the cabin. We enjoyed our stay and will book again.
