Excellent location right in the heart of the historic center. Property was hard to find though - though I wonder how our taxi driver from the airport was able to find it as it involved travel down what appeared to be pedestrian only alleys. Taxi ride BTW was around 36 Euros for those considering that option. We took the metro back to the airport for less than 5 Euro but it involved wheeling luggage 15 minutes through the streets of Valencia. Something to consider. Property was older but well maintained. Single two-person elevator in the hotel gets old after a while, as it oftentimes takes forever to call. Stayed in a terrace room on the top (5th) floor. Probably the only room I would book here (which wasn't that much more expensive) with a lovely terrace looking out over the tile roofs of the nearby buildings. Room was on the small side but functional. Bed was comfortable and bathroom acceptable, but with many old buildings, and as others have commented, the faint smell of sewage from the bathroom drain can be overpowering at times if you're not used to it. In fact as soon as you get off the elevator on the 5th floor it hits you right away. For me not a reason to not book a terrace room, but be advised if this is a dealbreaker for you. Rooms also not very soundproof, again, as is the case with older buildings, but I did find this place value for money given the location, which was it's top selling point. Breakfast was quite disappointing though at 13 Euro PP/Per day.
