About this property

Private Riverfront Lodge with Mountain Views Between Lost Maples and Garner Park

  • New 3/2 Lodge As seen in Hill Country Passport Magazine.
Come and relax in one of the most beautiful areas of Texas - the Lost Maples Region of the Texas Hill Country. Whether it's hiking at Lost Maples State Natural Area, sipping a glass of locally sourced and produced fine Texas wine at the Sabinal River Winery, driving one of Texas' most scenic stretches along Ranch Road 337 or enjoying the Sabinal River, The Lost Maples River Lodge has it all! This is your perfect vacation spot for an intimate group of friends or family fun. The close proximity of attractions and ease of travel makes the Lost Maples Region and River Lodge the perfect home base for your Hill Country adventure.

Enhancing new construction with rustic elements such as timber frames, this 2000 sf lodge truly reflects the character of the hill country charm and style.

The Lost Maples River Lodge offers 3 bedrooms, each with a queen size bed and 2 full bathrooms - one with a tub/shower and the other with a walk-in shower. There is also a twin bed located on the upstairs landing. Linens are provided.

Jump in and experience the cool, clean waters of the spring fed Sabinal River just feet from your back door. Or sit on the 400 sf covered porch and enjoy the soothing sounds of the river in the cooler months. Bring a fishing pole - you may just find a catfish or bass staring back at you from the end of line. As the sun sets, relax and sip your favorite beverage while making s'mores by the fire pit. Look up! You're sure to see the Milky Way or numerous other stars, constellations and planets. The clear, dark skies are excellent for star gazing.

The decision to plug or unplug is left completely up to you during your stay at The Lost Maples River Lodge. AT&T cell service is available, as well as a landline and WiFi. A television w/DVD and video library is available or bring your device and watch your favorite programs using the WiFi.

More of a nature lover? Spend your time watching the birds at the feeders (and most likely the acrobatics of a squirrel or two), the deer as they meander by or maybe you'll catch a glimpse of a the Texas State Mammal - the Armadillo. The Lost Maples Region is home to over 200 species of birds, including the Golden-cheeked Warbler and Black-capped Vireo, and offers an excellent opportunity to do some bird watching.

The Lost Maples River Lodge is centrally located to a variety of activities in the area. In the winter time you can cozy up to the wood burning fireplace while enjoying a board game or watching a movie. During the summer months grab your cowboy hat and boots and go for a horseback ride or attend a local rodeo. Other summer activities include hiking at Lost Maples or Garner State Parks and floating the Frio River. You can also bring along your own kayak, canoe or tubes and enjoy the Sabinal River just outside your own back door.

The Lost Maples Hill Country region is home to two nationally acclaimed restaurants. On weekends you have the opportunity to dine in an actual tree house built by Treehouse Master, Pete Nelson at The Laurel Tree Guest Table Restaurant in Utopia. More casual but no less gourmet dining can be savored at Diners, Drive-ins and Dives' featured restaurant Mac and Ernie's Roadside Eatery in Tarpley. Mac and Ernie's was also featured on Andrew Zimmern's Bizarre Foods program on the Travel Channel. If you prefer to dine-in, the Lost Maples River Lodge provides a fully equipped kitchen and gas grill providing the opportunity to cater your own meals and dine on the deck overlooking the river.

Whatever you choose to do - the options for a true Hill Country experience are limitless. PLEASE NOTE: There is a second bedroom downstairs, which is the private owner's quarters. It is not available to guests.
