"What an amazing experience! The propert was excellent, amazingly welcoming, clean and great location. The hosts were very nice and we had a privilege to attend the band practice at the restaurant. This is a great and authentic ryokan, breakfast was included and was very delicious and traditional. The traditional bath was the absolute charm after a long day. I would highly recommend this place!"

"I recently stayed at this beautiful ryokan and was thoroughly impressed. While the building is historic, it is classic and impeccably maintained, offering a charm you just can’t find in modern hotels. The onsen facilities were a highlight—incredibly relaxing and the perfect way to unwind. The location is also unbeatable, situated right next to Chionji Temple and the scenic beach walking path. We opted for the meal package, and it was a highlight of our trip; both breakfast and dinner were delicious and clearly prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the staff. They were incredibly kind, courteous, and went out of their way to answer every question we had. We are already looking forward to our next visit!"

"Very clean, traditional Japanese style room with ocean view. Breakfast buffet was my favorite part. The hotel is simple, but beautiful. Hours are limited to the public bath (onsen) and restaurants. If you plan on using the public bath, there’s specific ours for men and women."

"No toilet or shower in the room. Our room was on the 3rd floor and there was no elevator. There was only 1 shower stall for our use, and it was on the first floor. This “hotel”/motel is not suitable for elderly guests."

"Great property! Clean, comfortable, well-equipped kitchen. Only one bedroom (upstairs) has actual beds. The downstairs bedroom has Japanese style futons. The stairs to the second floor are circular and somewhat steep, a challenge for those with mobility limitations or heavy luggage. Lots of space indoors for kids to play, but none outside. The house it built on stilts over a very steep slope, almost a cliff.The Main difficulties checking in were (1) the contact phone is not correct, and (2) Google maps does not show the address given,instead returning generic area view. Vrbo text chat was totally useless! It did not recognize the reservation number sent from Vrbo by email. A phone call to Vrbo customer support was necessary. The human agent was able to identify the reservation, sent a working number, and a link that correctly located the property on Google Maps.However, the contact phone number provided a lengthy intro, but only in Japanese. Fortunately, my Japanese friend handled that. The instructions warned that help was available only for those who had reserved properties through Rakuten, which threw us off for a bit, when we answered "Not through Rakuten". When we answered "Yes" anyway, we were put through to a helpful agent who straightened everything out and gave us the contact number for the actual owner. The owner herself was very helpful, but we did not meet in person and were able to enter using a "hidden" key. You MUST know Japanese to rent this property!"
