I’m sure there are other good hotels in Ubud….but I won’t know for sure as I found my place to return to when I go back. The staff is very nice, but I think they could up their service a bit. When I asked for recommendations for things to do in advance of getting there, they emailed me that I could figure it out when I arrived (which I didn’t like) and then when I arrived and asked again, they said- your driver will know. They came late with breakfast one day and so we left on our tour late too. But still they were very nice and everything was really beautiful. The hotel is lovely, full of character (not the typical concrete resort that could be anywhere) and very peaceful and calm. The rooms are big and charming. The staff was very nice to us at all times and the breakfast was very good too, plus they happily bring it to your room or to the pool if you feel like a change from the restaurant.
