Good restaurant(price-value ) and perfect breakfast! But all over a renovation is definitely needed! If you expect an “fantastic “ (was the rate when we booked) hotel then you will be totally disappointed! The hotel has everything but they have to renew the rooms and make the pool area nicer too! Very noisy with the wood cutting work nextdoor, but not controllable by the hotel. The shared kitchen is not hygienic, so I did not use it. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Room is adequate, no hot water, so i could not use the shower or bath. Breakfast was ok for additional $2, but i wouldn’t pay for the full price. The rooms and particularly the bathrooms are in need of a refresh, but comfortable, secure, close to Ubud centre. There is a pool and wifi - and I can walk to wherever I want. I was really pleasantly surprised by how nice the small pool area was too. It’s within the city, but right next to a small stream so I felt within the jungle and the sights and sounds of wildlife helped the atmosphere. More pros: 15 minute walk to Ubud City Center (Art Market), felt very safe, and the breakfast options were really good. The cons: bed wasn’t as comfortable as a more expensive hotel, and the bathroom is pretty bare.
