"We walked in and walked out. Critters of all kinds—a probably cute rodent skittered by right when we opened the door. There was a live cockroach on the fridge. Signs of bedbugs on the mattress. The front desk attendant was great, though."

"The cabin was very cozy and clean, the location on the lake was perfect, and it was fun getting out on the private boats. The road back to the cabin is somewhat narrow but we had no trouble getting in and out with a Silverado. Communication with the guest contact was very good as well. We definitely will return for our next trip to Hocking Hills. "

"Fuller's 50 was as advertised. Water was hot, amenities were available, grill was full and functional, deck and yard were most peaceful. Craig was quick to relay information and communicated promptly. Great stay. Would advise when using the ladder to the loft bedroom, be sure to have extra hands available to assist lowering the ladder as it is very heavy. Overall, great place and allowed for great SE Ohio visit. "

"This hotel is being refurbished currently. There are construction items in the stairwell and even in our hallway. However, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and firm, the bathroom was large and clean. Plenty of room in the king bed room. Pillows were good, soft ones and firm ones. Enough for a knee pillow! The tub wouldn't drain fast enough and there was standing water. However, the water pressure was more than ample! It hit the wall so hard that I thought it made a hole! The toilet handle had to be held to flush. Front desk was helpful. No elevator! Breakfast was so so. Convenient location. It was quiet in our room."

"If you’re looking for a place that rewards you for going a little off course, this is exactly that kind of destination. We weren’t able to arrive until late at night, and while the road there certainly had its fair share of twists and turns, the directions provided by the owners turned the journey into part of the experience. It felt less like navigating and more like a quiet adventure—spotting old landmarks along the way and realizing we were exactly where we were meant to be. Once we arrived, a solar-lit pathway gently illuminated step by step as we made our way in, creating a welcoming and almost storybook-like entrance that immediately set the tone for our stay. Our daughter absolutely loved the outdoor setup—especially the swings and bars that gave her a chance to burn off energy before and after our long drive. It was such a thoughtful touch. Inside, the cabin lived up to every expectation. The bedding and accommodations were perfect, and “cozy” truly is the best word to describe the space. Being pet-friendly with no extra charge was a huge bonus. Waking up to the view overlooking the Ohio River into West Virginia was something special. It’s the kind of view you wish you had more time to sit with, and we genuinely regretted only staying one night. We may not know when or why we’ll find ourselves back in Gallipolis, but now we know we have a reason. Do not hesitate to stay here. Take the extra time, go a little out of your way—you won’t regret it. All the best!"

"The secure entrance door was broken, taken down and laying in the hallway so anyone off the street could (and seemingly did) come into the hotel through the night. The pool (why we booked the hotel) was closed. The air unit and hair dryer were broken. Basically were told it was too bad because all the local hotels were sold out for the event we were in town for."
