The Nautilus welcomes you with old school southern charm, the ultimate in amenities & is dog friendly & has a salt-water, heated pool! Our home features 2-story, wrap-around porches, light filled interiors, open & spacious floor plans, hard wood floors and gorgeous pine ceilings. This is a spectacular retreat for families & large groups seeking rest & relaxation and only 1 block from the Atlantic Ocean beaches! The ground level is for parking up to 5 cars, the POOL, games and outdoor shower. You will enter the home on the 2nd story wrap-around porch resplendent with cushy bed-swings and a plethora of cozy vignettes for dining, relaxing & delighting in the ocean breezes. The 2nd level of the home has a spacious living room and 3 of your themed guest bedrooms. First is the Pineapple Room with a full size bed, smart TV and full bathroom. The Flamingo & The Seahorse bedrooms share a Jack & Jill bathroom with shower/tub combo and each bedroom has its own vanity in the bedroom! Both bedrooms have memory-foam king beds and wall-mounted smart TVs. Up to the 3rd, top level you find the deluxe kitchen is equipped with a large granite island & bar seating for 3, stainless steel appliances, a gas stove, and Jura gourmet espresso/cappuccino maker. Of course, there is also a traditional drip coffee maker for the purists. The gas grill is on the porch of this level for the grill master to enjoy. The light-filled, spacious floor plan is adorned with knotty pine ceilings over the dining area and the second of 2 separate living rooms. Located on this floor is also the master bedroom suite. It boasts a king-size bed with an en-suite bathroom featuring a soaking tub, a step-in shower, a walk-in closet and a smart TV. The pièce de resistance is of course: the heated POOL! Enjoy a refreshing dip then catch some rays in the many lounge chairs and tables surrounding the patio. Some can play ping pong (the table is on casters and can be slid outside) or toss some corn hole games. The Owners have provided pool floaties. Don’t forget the warm & cold enclosed outdoor shower! Please rinse off sand after a day at the beach before entering the house or diving into the pool. The beauty of The Nautilus is in the many spaces people can gather, for solitude or chit-chat. Every detail of this home is well executed and inviting for families and groups of friends seeking a memorable beach vacation. NOTES: Minimum age to reserve is 25 years old, no exceptions. OCCUPANCY: We have a maximum capacity of 8 people (including children/infants) at any time, no exceptions. NOISE: This property is NOT PARTY friendly. We do not allow loud noise, music, public drunkenness, or parties of any sort. This is a family oriented neighborhood, and any violators may be evicted and/or fined. NO BACHELORETTE/BACHELOR GROUPS. NO EVENTS or PARTIES!! POOL: We can offer the pool as heated by require $75 per day to operate the heating system. Please request this PRIOR to arrival as it can take 24 hours to heat. Guests are strictly prohibited from touching pool heater/equipment. \*\*When the pool is heated during the winter months, it will NOT feel hot to the touch. It will be more like warm bathwater. It will be chilly upon entering but you will acclimate quickly. Please do NOT expect it to feel like a hot tub! The pool is OUTSIDE so the heat dissipates and the water evaporates quickly. We do require that quests refill the water level as this causes damage to our pumps. PARKING is available in driveway for a MAX of 5 vehicles. NO RVs or trailers allowed. No parking on grass. When we arrived, the pool company had shocked the pool with chemicals and we were unable to use the pool the first day. We did encounter a few bugs inside and ants around the pool were terrible. There are also some sunken and broken tiles around the pool that are definitely tripping hazards. The property owner was present when we arrived and is a lovely lady. The controls for some of the fans and lights was confusing and there are a LOT of stairs with 3 floors. We did find the beach chairs and umbrella very useful when visiting the beach. We ended up renting a golf cart because the walk to the beach access with difficult for me and our 7 year old on the 99 day. Overall, we did enjoy our stay and this is a lovely home, it just wasn't the best fit for our family of two teenagers, a 7 year old and their Nana (me). ##### Tamra J. However, we experienced several issues during our stay last month: - Upstairs AC was not working when we checked in (Tuesday evening); the owner was responsive but the AC wasn't fixed repaired until Friday evening; it was over 80 degrees each day upstairs so sleeping in the master bedroom was difficult given the heat on the floor - The gas supply to the house ran out Sunday (Easter) afternoon; we had to take cold showers before going to dinner that night and were unable to do any of our dirty laundry before leaving the next day - The switches/remotes for the fans/lights had been re-programmed and there was no available documentation for how to use them so adjusting the lights/fans was problematic for the duration of our stay - As communicated to us prior to the trip, the blinds for the bedrooms were on backorder and temporary paper blinds had been put up instead; unfortunately, they were very thin and did not keep the light out of the rooms so it was very bright as soon as the sun came up, which made sleeping past 7 very difficult To their credit, the owners were responsive to these issues and did their best to fix them, and also refunded us one night's stay. We were frustrated that we had so many issues at this pricepoint for a house rental, so we are sharing our experience, but also recognize that it's highly unlikely that such a combination of issues would occur for future guests. ##### Gregory L. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time vacationing in this house. The house is very comfortable, well stocked and nicely decorated. The espresso machine was a big hit. The bottom floor offers plenty of room for table tennis action. The wrap around decks are fantastic for sitting outside and enjoying the breeze. The beach is only a short walk. All the history, restaurants and shopping that Savannah has to offer is only a short drive away. Management was very responsive leading up to our vacation and we had no issues during our stay.
