About this property
Winter Lakefront Escape, Ice Fishing & Skiing
A peaceful winter wonderland, fresh snow and a frozen lake! In winter, Little Wilson Pond takes on a whole new kind of magic. Spend your days ice fishing on the frozen lake, exploring nearby trails, or heading out for a day of skiing. Return to the warmth of this beloved family retreat, where the pace slows, the scenery is beautiful, and there’s nowhere else you need to be. Whether you’re seeking outdoor adventure or a quiet getaway surrounded by Maine’s winter beauty, this is a place to make memories in every season. Just 50 minutes from Portland, yet a world away from the everyday, Little Wilson Pond is a special place to experience the best of Maine winter.
THE PROPERTY: Enjoy the open-concept living room with a cozy fireplace, flowing into the dining area and kitchen, all featuring large windows with beautiful lake views. This level also offers a bedroom with a private bathroom, making it ideal for guests who prefer step-free living. Upstairs, three additional 3 bedrooms with a mix of king and queen beds give everyone their own space, along with a pull-out sofa for extra guests. The bedroom at the top of the stairs has its own full bath, and a third full bathroom is conveniently located in the hall, easily accessible from the other two rooms. A second living area with games, books, and sweeping lake views is the kind of room people end up spending more time in than they expect.
Outside, a private tree-lined yard with multiple seating areas and a gas grill leads directly to the water, with a canoe, kayak, inflatables, and fishing gear ready to go whenever you are.
Little Wilson Pond is a year-round destination. Summer is magical, but fall might be even better — the foliage around the pond is stunning and the pace is wonderfully unhurried. Come winter, Sunday River is an hour away, and you can ice fish right on the pond from your own backyard — one of the most quintessentially Maine experiences there is!
GUEST ACCESS: Guests have full access to the entire home, property, and lake — all indoor living spaces, all bedrooms, and all outdoor areas including the yard, beach, and lake equipment. Please note that two closets are locked and reserved for owner storage and cleaning supplies.
OTHER DETAILS: Self check-in via smart lock — your unique door code will be sent 24-48 hours before arrival. Maximum occupancy is 8 guests. Guests must be 25 or older to book. No smoking, no pets, no parties or events.
Please note there is a Ring doorbell camera at the front door to monitor the driveway for your safety and for our peace of mind. We do have motion detectors active on both floors as part of a security system — these do not record video. There are no interior cameras.

We loved our stay! The host was exceptional, the house was amazing and the spot on the pond was beautiful. It was perfect for celebrating our son's graduation with our extended family. Elena was a wonderful host and she thought of everything we would need. The house was exceptionally clean and well appointed. We would love to stay again!
Photos don't do this listing justice! It's bigger on the inside, and the sub-floor heating was the BEST surprise! Fully stocked kitchen, very clear welcome booklet and chec in/out instruction. Great and friendly communication with the hosts and prompt response to questions. Would recommend for any group. PLENTY of room for any and all people!
We loved Elena’s house. What first drew us to it was the Pond view and the great bathroom to bedroom ratio. 3.5/4. We really enjoyed everything about the house! The grill outside was great, the kitchen was well stocked, we loved the extra kitchen storage space for the things we had brought. We played cards at night at the big table, and especially loved the soft sheets and comfortable beds! My teenage son kayaked every day. And we came at a time where the leaves were changing. The view was beautiful. My friend and I walked 2 miles every morning down the length of the pond. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.
