Tunnel Mountain District Holidays from £702

Honestly, the pictures do not look anything like the room we had not to mention I booked on Expedia, not thinking when I got to the resort that there would be extra fees that I had to pay, and when I booked, they did not say that I would have to pay for parking extra all it said was that there was parking on site not that you had to pay for it and the resort fees you would think that’s included in the Expedia price seeing as the room was over $600.

We, a middle-aged couple, stayed overnight at Chateau Canmore. The front desk staff was helpful, kind, and efficient on check-in and check-out. Our room was on the 5th floor with a beautiful mountain view out the mid-sized window and a fireplace in the corner (we did not turn it on as it was a lovely fall day). Our room was very large and had a desk, a chair, a sofa (I think a sofa bed), a sink, mini fridge, Keurig coffee machine, and a little kitchen counter area. The bathroom was mid-size with a shower in a bathtub, a generous supply of towels, and was sparkling clean. The entire room was a bit outdated but very clean and spacious (lots of room for luggage), with very good lighting. Decor was minimal and neutral and a bit outdated. The bed was very comfortable. Be aware that the train track runs quite close behind the building and, although our stay was very quiet otherwise, several trains of varying length passed by during the night. If you are a light sleeper, ear plugs would be helpful. There was a hot tub and exercise room (we did not use either) but other guests looked like they were enjoying the hot tub very much. We had breakfast downstairs at Chez Francois and discovered a wonderful breakfast/brunch spot with friendly quick service, and best of all delicious food! Overall, we would stay at Chateau Canmore again and definitely eat at Chez Francois whenever we're in Canmore.

This was the perfect romantic getaway and escape from the city. The location was easy to get to, check in and check out was incredibly smooth and painless, and the room itself was so cozy and cute. We especially loved the little pet additions (and he loved the treats) that welcomed our dog for the stay. We made use of the kitchen for dinner and breakfast, and the spa was enjoyable as well!

Excellent facility for after a back country backpacking trip in the mountains. The swimming pool, the hot tub were great. The space was perfect for friends. They were very happy.
