Relaxing hotel - but no wifi

The hotel is modern and comfortable. The staff are helpful. The food is good (breakfast and Calcutta restaurant). Fitness centre is good. But the stay was ruined by the wifi not working in the Residence room. So I would not stay (in Residence again). Also there was no kettle. No water was supplied and the shop was closed - so it was not possible to make a drink.

The Hotels.com web site places 5 stars against this hotel, which is a gross exaggeration. I may have been unlucky, but my room had far too many faults (lights not functioning, air conditioning control only partly functional, no water provided, door to patio unlockable, etc). Staff are charming, but don't seem too motivated to provide service (examples: nobody offers tea or coffee at breakfast....you have to go to ask, if you sit in the coffee area mid-morning, nobody comes to serve you...you have to go to ask). I get the feeling that this is a management problem rather than a staff problem. If higher standards were demanded by the bosses, the staff look willing enough to raise their game.....if some rooms were randomly inspected each day by the management and those responsible "gripped" if things aren't up to standard, then rooms would be of a higher standard. This hotel is most certainly NOT a 5 star hotel. I was disappointed by it and will not return.

Nice resort, apartments may need some work

Pros: Service was good. Lovely pool areas.
Cons: Maintenance and minor repairs were needed to apartments. hardly enough utensils to cook a basic meal.
Location: Easy and affordable taxi rides into Tunis. Thought I would miss not being on a beach, but it was easy and cheap to get to.
Had a very nice stay, hotel staff were generally very friendly.Would have like to have seen more management of taxis allowed onsite. Apartments are 4* but need some work. Very few utensils were in my apartment and one cupboard had no bottom in it so was absolutely pointless!! Some small handyman jobs and very minor repairs would get this definitely into 4*, I'd suggest that the room I had was closer to a 3*. Housekeeping was generally thorough although noisy with a lot of shouting across apartment blocks to each other. I asked for the floor to be mopped when I arrived, as long hairs from a previous occupant were on bedroom and living room floor, but this was rectified very courteously. I would go back, it was nice to be able to use the hotel facilities, lovely pools, and a very safe area of Tunis and short cheap pop in a taxi down the hill into La Marsa (with meter!).

I stayed in the residence (appartments/studios), was convenient and comfortable more like a chalet and you coan still enjoy all the conveniences of the Golden Tulip Hotel. all in all , the place is ok

Tolles Wellness-Hotel mit Touch der Antike

Ein sehr schönes Hotel auf den Hügeln von Gammarth im Nordbezirk von Tunis. Etwas abgelegen, weshalb man ein Auto zum Hinkommen braucht, dafür ruhig und weitläufig. Toller Wellness- und Spa-Bereich mit Innenpolitik zur Gratis-Nutzung. Familienzimmer etwa heruntergekommen, aber alles funktionierte und war sauber. Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbüffet. Und ein Lob für den sehr zuvorkommendem Service!

Pros: le personnel du restaurent etait tres sympa et gentil , les gens de la securité aussi tres polis
Cons: l accé a la piscine de l hotel doit etre accessible au resident de l hotel residence golden, ou bien le mentionner lors de la reservation,plus de serv
Location: IL faut ete motorisé pour pouvoir profiter des choses qui sont a proximité
un beau sejour sauf que j étais très déçus par apport a la piscine du spa qui ne fonctionnait pas chose qui n a pas ete dite lors de la reservation en plus la piscine de l hotel etait non autorisé par les residents de l hotel residence golden tulipe alors lors du descriptif des installations ca disait qu on pouvait avoir accé au trois piscines de l Hote si l je l avais su a l avance j aurais pu ne pas réserver surtout que la piscine du spa etait en renovation et la piscine de residence golden etait loin de la chambre
