Relaxing hotel - but no wifi

The hotel is modern and comfortable. The staff are helpful. The food is good (breakfast and Calcutta restaurant). Fitness centre is good. But the stay was ruined by the wifi not working in the Residence room. So I would not stay (in Residence again). Also there was no kettle. No water was supplied and the shop was closed - so it was not possible to make a drink.

Just a quick note to thank you and all the staff at Hotel Golden Tulip Residence Carthage our recent stay in Apartments so very special. We all had a truly memorable holiday. Our Apartments were excellent .The terraces were particularly nice. Thank you for originally recommending them. Everyone we met at the Hotel was friendly, helpful and always had a smile on their face. We could not have felt more comfortable and relaxed. The hotel was a real home from home. Thank you again for helping to make our trip to Tunisia so special. We will always remember Tunis and the Hotel Golden Tulip Residence Carthage. Needless to say, when we decide to return to Rome there will be no question about where we'll want to stay. Hopefully, we'll see you all in the not too distant future!

I never recomend this hotel It was terrible. The room was cold and there's nothing around hotel even I called roomservice for water and cigar Definetely concierge was too bad. They didn't resolved my any ask. Just said, calling to other part. I never been experience this kind of 5star hotel.

Le côté "Résidence" est bien moins attractif que les chambres de l'hotel lui même: éloignement, la rénovation des studios est bâclée, la déco et le look du studio sont quelconques...

Disappointing

The Hotels.com web site places 5 stars against this hotel, which is a gross exaggeration. I may have been unlucky, but my room had far too many faults (lights not functioning, air conditioning control only partly functional, no water provided, door to patio unlockable, etc). Staff are charming, but don't seem too motivated to provide service (examples: nobody offers tea or coffee at breakfast....you have to go to ask, if you sit in the coffee area mid-morning, nobody comes to serve you...you have to go to ask). I get the feeling that this is a management problem rather than a staff problem. If higher standards were demanded by the bosses, the staff look willing enough to raise their game.....if some rooms were randomly inspected each day by the management and those responsible "gripped" if things aren't up to standard, then rooms would be of a higher standard. This hotel is most certainly NOT a 5 star hotel. I was disappointed by it and will not return.
