Needs some work.

Pros: The price was inexpensive. I liked that the hallways smelled nice. The fitness room had an elliptical.The hotel had a pool.
Cons: As I mentioned earlier.
Location: The location is right off the highway. There are many other hotels right beside this one. There is a Cracker Barrel, Sonic and other resturants close
The microwave did not work. The room smelled of mildew. It was clean though. The hallways smelled very nice.The pool area smelled very much like cigarettes. The breakfast only included biscuits and gravy, toast, waffles and oatmeal, Several people were obviously upset including the morning manager who was told by the breakfast worker that the truck had not come in with the eggs and sausage. The workers should have known before breakfast or told the manager before breakfast. When the worker was asked :"What is supposed to be in here?" about the empty warmer by another patron she simply replied, "Nothing" When another patron inquired about dry cereal she replied, "No". The water in the fitness room was nearly empty. The television in the fitness room was off with no remote available.

Overall the hotel was nice; however 2 times my door wasn't locked after it was cleaned. This was reported and hotel said they'd talk with cleaning crew. The next day my room didn't get cleaned. I felt the cleaning crew was making a statement: you reported me so I'm not cleaning your room. Trash sat around for 2 days by the vending machines. Cleaning crew and the job they do or don't do is a reflection of the hotel.

Fantastic place! We'll be back!

I had called before I made reservations, because I have an autistic daughter. We have had negative experiences with vacations before, and a prior cold call to another hotel proved that the negative experiences were still a very real possibility. During my call I explained that my daughter was severely autistic and I asked what kind of accommodations could be made to help her have a positive experience while on vacation; I was met with one of the friendliest people I've ever talked to - who explained that she would personally make sure that we had a room off to ourselves in case my daughter had any meltdowns, and she would also make sure that we knew what restaurants would deliver in order to avoid having to get my daughter out when she was having a hard time with her sensory issues. I truly appreciated how this woman in particular went above and beyond her job duties to make sure that an 11 year old autistic girl had a great vacation. It's thanks to her and the rest of the fantastic staff at Country Inns & Suites by Carlson that my family had our first successful, happy, and memorable for all the right reasons vacation. Thank you so much!!

Pros: Hotel Staff were awesome. Very Clean. Great choices at breakfast.
Enjoyed the Happy Hour Margaritas and the breakfast was fantastic. Above average breakfast.

If you need somewhere to sleep, it will do. I had never thought to use this hotel. It was a convenient location.

Decent hotel

Simply stayed overnight. It was quiet and clean, but the rooms are a bit worn. The hotel is being renovated, or at least that is what the large banner in the lobby states.
